I was on my way to a gig, I usually try to eat at a local restaurant vs big franchise or whatever. Found this spot food was good and very well priced. My coworkers meal and my own was cheaper the 1 meal at a fast food place. Bonus points for the cool retro sign

Small and simple eatery in Urbandale, has a rich history. Their food is quick and easy (just like their service), and is usually well made and fresh. Burgers are wonderful, as is their onion rings. Fries are hit or miss for us. Don't skip out on breakfast here, though! Very delicious, a lot like home cooking. Place is also insanely affordable. Drive thru only, but the service is a hell of a lot quicker than the McDonald's down the road, and they offer more. A great gem that I hope Urbandale keeps for a long time.
Parking: Parking is located on either side of the building. Small drive thru, big trucks will not fit and they have signage that tells you what to do.
