The Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church Black History Committee chose the South Side Grubz to host our Fellowship Dinner. If you've never been I encourage you to do so. Both the food and service were excellent! Thank you for a job well done! Mary Ann

Always wanted to try this place out and finally made my way there. Should have gone sooner! I got the catfish dinner with baked beans and collard greens. Requested it to be fried crispy and they did just that! Everything was seasoned so well and the Kool-Aid was flavorful without being too sweet. Will be returning and making sure I share the word!

Dinner catfish was tasty. Fresh. Wife enjoyed chicken dinner, sides were greens, sweet potatoes, cowboy beans. First time dining there. We will return.

This place is our favorite breakfast choice! Great food, terrific, friendly personal service, good portion size and reasonably priced. Family owned and operated. Hubby only gets the hotcakes which he declares are the best he’s ever tasted. I’ve tried darn near everything on the breakfast menu and have always loved the food. No bad choices here. Omelettes are huge and cooked to perfection, biscuits & gravy is spectacular, hash browns always delicious and never too greasy. We highly recommend South Side Grubz!

Stopped by today, 100% recommend. I had a catfish Po'boy and my friend had the Philly fries. Both were delicious and homemade fries! A must stop in Battle Creek!
