Delicious flavors & freshly made pico de gallo, guacamole & chips. The steak was tough in the steak & shrimp fajitas but the shrimp was excellent. Horchata was tasty. Very friendly person taking orders. Everything is served in take out containers. Inside dining is limited to 4 tables. Large selection of gelato bars.

Best asada tacos in town and best when eaten on site! Treat yourself to paletas while you wait or as a desert. Family owned and operated.

Used to be one of our favorite restaurants before COVID.Took my wife out for a Friday night dinner out. Went in and sat in a booth to order. Placed order and waited for the customary chips and salsa which never came. Drinks came out in a white Styrofoam cup. When food came out it was in Styrofoam containers with plastic utensils.Food was excellent but for Friday night out eating out of foam containers with plastic forks did not meet our expectations. Talked to waitress and she said if we wanted normal table service and place settings we needed to go to Taqueria San Francisco II. Taqueria I is primarily for take out with a couple of booths.

One of the best hidden gems. I am glad to find this on a chance while waiting for dance class to be over. Some of the best restaurants tend to be these hidden “hole in the wall” places. Indeed the atmosphere is reminiscent of being invited into a Mexican kitchen. The authenticity of the food must hail from San Francisco as the name implies, as it is utterly delicious and flavorful unlike most Americanized Mexican. This means spices, a bit of heat, and feeling like you stepped out of Abuela’s kitchen happy and satisfied. The place is clean, quiet, and no pressure as you order when ready at the front counter. Greeted by hundreds of delicious popsicles. The only improvement would be to hand out the missing chips and salsa! We were missed twice on two different occasions. Otherwise, Keep it up!

Used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Battle Creek before Covid. My wife and I went in for dinner on a Friday evening. Sat down and looked around and noticed all the other tables had Styrofoam containers scattered around. Ordered our meals and noticed that we didn't receive the customary chips and salsa. Drinks came out in Styrofoam cups. When the food came out it was in Styrofoam platters or serving plates with plastic utensils. Not quite ambiance or atmosphere I expected going out to dinner with my spouse. Styrofoam city. Evidently the restaurant has changed its focus to carry out. The server told us that if we wanted real silverware, place settings and the expected things like chips and salsa we should have gone to Taqueria San Francisco II. They are the full service restaurant. I did go with two stars because the food was delicious. Just not the dining experience we expected.

Ordered California fries and a chicken taco. The fries looked unappetizing and tasted like cold, unseasoned McDonald’s fries. Both dishes had unmelted mozzarella cheese on it? Not even close to authentic Mexican food. Even though the food was terrible our waitress was very nice.

This restaurant is wonderful. The food, service, and usually the people. Last time a woman wasn't watching her kids and they threw a straw paper over the booth and it landed in our food. Never had that happen here before.
