Not just a summer place!!! If you love perch…. go here now!! The food was delicious. I ordered the perch which came with any side, no up charges for things like onion rings. I chose vegetables for my side which turned out to be broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. But the nice surprise was that they were grilled, not just steamed. Very tasty! Our meals also came with a nice salad bar and a choice of two homemade soups. My husband ordered the “all-you-can-eat fish.” His was pollock and also delicious. Our service was also great.

My party of four and I stopped for dinner at Castaways this evening on a drive from Ann Arbor to Mackinaw City. We had stopped at another reaturant first with a long wait but when we called in to Castaways, they told us they could seat us right away. They certainly did and it wasn’t because the crowd was sparse. The restaurant had a sizeable crowd of diners but the seating area was very spacious and service was fast.
Our server, Jenny, was fantastic. I saw how busy she was but she dropped by our table often, had friendly recommendations and just all around was a gem. She may have been the best part of the dining experience! The food was also tasty, affordable, and plentiful. Tonight happened to be all you could eat fried fish night and our one member who ordered the fish and chips plate wound up not moving past the first serving. Most of us took leftovers due to the large portions and the included soup and salad bar.
Last but not least, there was live music which is always a bonus. A young man played country music, livening up the atmosphere. If we didn’t have to rush to check in to our Airbnb, we would have stayed longer. All in all, highly recommended.

The parking lot looked crowded when we arrived, but we were seated right away. The view of the Kawkawlin River from the patio was lovely. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. the Brisket Burger and Mac and Cheese with Brisket were both fantastic.

We had a party of thirteen people. Our server Haley was awesome!! I was never left with an empty drink and Haley was very attentive. She even had other tables and still made sure we had everything we needed! Food and drinks were awesome as always.

We were there on a Thursday, not to busy, didn't wait for a table. Our server was helpful, answered all my questions, didn't wait long for our food. Up beat atmosphere. To chilly to eat on patio on river.

Ordered a margarita, came in a rock glass and couldn’t taste the tequila at all. Ordered a stake sandwich, I think they put sloppy joes on it instead of marina, scraped it off and the meat tasted like mystery meat.two of my friends ordered brisket nachos and a brisket wrap, both said it was awful. We go there several times a year and never had food this bad. If you are changing products because of the economy and tariffs, you will loos business.

I’m from Austin visiting family here. The service is off the hook. Colleen was nonstop and the wait staff were extremely attentive to all the customers. Clean. Nice. Inviting. The fried Polluck was amazing!! Jeremy was great. He tried to explain why the brisket was as good as Texas brisket 🤣 great place!
Ordered our fish that came to us cold on the inside sent back oily fish when we got it back ask to speak to a manager and was told that one was not available will not go back there again
