I LOVE the Lakeside! As a local, I get there whenever I can - I only wish they were open for dinner. But their burgers are to die for - my favorite in the area. Their breakfasts are also really marvelous. I always get the Hippie Omelet, because it's truly great EVERY time. Also, try the tater tots. Really, really good.
Wait staff are super nice and very attentive. Because they're small and popular, sometimes there's a wait, but I think the longest I've ever had was maybe 15 minutes. Well worth it!
Their prices are reasonable - $10-20 - and I invariably get two meals out of my servings. In short, if you get up early enough to eat there (I work nights, so I often don't, to my sorrow) they're the best in Bear Lake by a mile!

We came in about half an hour before closing and we're followed by several more customers, some at 5 to close. They assured everyone they were still open and would not rush them out. Great customer service

I know that things happen and busy days occurr but there isn’t a good enough reason for the food to take nearly an hour to get to the table. On top of that, we had no server for over half our time there. For what it was worth the food was good. But if you’re on any sort of time crunch this is not the spot for you.

Waited 30 min. For food when it came the potatoes were burnt, toast was burnt, sausages were nasty. I couldn't believe they would even send. It to the table. Been there before, all good.. won't be back.

This is truly a hidden gem! The whole family enjoyed their meals. The funnel cake fries were a hit! The stuffed fried chicken and waffles were delicious and enough to split between multiple people. Great service as well! Highly recommend this diner nestled right up again nst beautiful Bear lake!!

We stopped in for breakfast. Omg. Best breakfast everrrrrrrr. The sourdough toast is the best. Even tho it was busy, service was prompt and friendly and food was fast and delicious. Katie was our server today and went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Definitely recommend. Definitely will be back. Thanks so much!!!
Very busy, kid friendly, and casual. I asked for 2 eggs over medium, and they were perfect. The pancake was large and tasted like a pancake should. Other places I've been to the pancakes taste like water. I would definitely go there again.

All I ordered were hash browns, extra crispy. Not terribly hard, right? This is Lakeside Cafe’s interpretation of extra crispy. The poorly cooked food was only worsened by the smell of cigarettes coming off the waitress. I suspect any sort of competition would put this cafe out of business. In Bear Lake, this is your only option for breakfast though. Bummer.
