The Restaurant at The South Course

The location couldn't be more amazing. The restaurant is located at the 18th hole with sweeping views of the golf course. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly smiles and as it wasn't busy we got to select where we wanted to sit.

I ordered a very tasty cucumber, drink, well mixed and was quite refreshing after being out on the course.

The French Onion soup was beautifully presented as shown in my pictures. However, it lacks the complexity I was expecting from a traditionally made french onion soup. It was not terrible but I would not order it again.

The timing for bringing out our main dish was perfect. We had just finished enjoying our soups. I ordered the shrimp Po' Boy with sweet potato fries. It came with plenty of shrimp and the bang bang sauce was quite tasty. I was, however, disappointed with the vegetables that were served. We are in the midst of peak vegetable season yet the tomatoes were a light pink color with very little flavor and the lettuce was also quite bland. Finally, the bun it was served on was soft, but it was not a particularly flavorful piece of bread. It did not drown out the full flavor of the the shrimp and bang bang sauce.

All in all, the atmosphere and service were exceptional. Unfortunately, I might decide to explore other options as the food was not as exceptional.

Excellent service and dinner. We ordered the crab stuffed salmon. It was delicious! The service was excellent, and there was a nice choice of red and white wine.

We enjoyed our meal as nd service was very good. We definitely would go back. Would like to see more fish on menu.

Not a busy night so we had time to sit and enjoy drinks and conversation with friends. Our waitress was delightful!

Excellent! We also enjoyed some drinks on the Adirondacks, at the Bluffs course, listening to the bagpiper. Absolutely wonderful. 

We had a very enjoyable evening. We dined early, 5:30 reservation. Very quiet when we arrived but was getting busy when we left.

Very clean upscale restaurant off the beaten path. The food and presentation makes you feel like you are eating at a prestigious restaurant in a big city. If you're looking for great tasting food with an amazing view then this place is worth seeking out. Besides it's on the most scenic road in Michigan, M22

We experienced the Valentine's dinner for two and it was spectacular, from the freshly shaken cocktails to the scrumptious dessert. From the looks of their daily offerings, we will definitely go back!

The Friday all-you-can-eat fish fry was outstanding! The fish was crispy, flakey, and not greasy! Also had the blackened salmon with a wedge salad ~ excellent. Highly recommended Friday night fish fry!

Excellent pecan encrusted walleye and smoked beef brisket. Moderate prices for the venue although they make up for it on the drinks. Will definitely go back.
