I’ll never return to this terribly run business. I did a catering order for Thanksgiving for the very first time. Although I had a couple concerns with them from the past, I figured it should be fine. I spoke with the owners and they seemed to have it under control. Since they were closed day of, I had to schedule to pick up the order the day before thanksgiving. I had a number of things to do that day since dinner was being hosted at my house. So, I planned everything perfectly. When the time came to pick up my order, I receive a call from the owner asking for another 45 minutes to complete the order. This would push back the rest of my scheduled pick ups for the day, but I couldn’t do anything about that. I agreed and tried to reschedule my plans. The 45 minutes go by and I call to ensure it’s ready before driving back over. It was not ready until 2 hours after the original scheduled pick up time. When I arrive the macaroni looked and tasted like just noodles and cheese. I mentioned that and the owner gets mad saying she can take it off. She was extremely unprofessional and didn’t even give eye contact while trying to “resolve” my issue. Well what an inconvenience to take it off and not have anything to eat for Thanksgiving. She gives me a thousand excuses about what happened earlier that day and how she was the only cook and no one could help her. Honestly I didn’t care about what was happening behind the scenes. I scheduled this two weeks before and she agreed to have it done. This is a business and I shouldn’t be met with excuses and not resolutions. She agreed to make another for pick up now on Thanksgiving day. I had to drive back to Belleville, From Westland (a 30 min drive) day of Thanksgiving to pick up the remade macaroni. I asked her to just give me my mere $60 back for the macaroni for the inconvenience and she offers me a lamb chop lamb chop dinner instead (half the price of the macaroni). She then argued that she shouldn’t have to give any money back because she was the only cook, her daughter didn’t help and she was doing ME a favor coming back on thanksgiving to make it over. I will not be giving them another chance.I also ordered greens with Turkey neck and the greens had onions instead of the Turkey neck I requested. Her response “I made a large pot and regardless of whether or not you got any Turkey neck, I added them”. The carelessness and terrible customer service definitely lost a customer.

Excellent food for a fair price! The owner was so nice and I enjoyed talking with him. So much food you'll need a to go box! Taste great too!

My Chicken was burnt Mash potatoes and gravy had no flavor to it The meat loaf taste dry The sweet potatoes were ok I really wanted they’re Mac & cheese and Greens but I was told by the cook that they were out.

Gumbo was outstanding. Peach Cobbler just like granny use to make. Huge wings. 6 piece was equivalent to others 12 piece. Fried pork chops just right. Would recommend for anyone looking for homestyle soulful dinner with plentiful portions.

I ordered grilled chicken, rib tips, shrimp, yams, Mac and cheese, greens, coleslaw and cornbread for one of my staff members birthday celebration. I must say EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! The staff enjoyed everything and those greens were mentioned and being the top fave! Definitely will be utilizing them again!

My fiance and I visited a couple weeks ago. She ordered the perch, and I ordered fish and chips. Everything was fantastic. They're pretty new as a restaurant so please go support them! Their service was great.

I am so disappointed with this food that I could cry after wanting to try this place for a month or 2 (the first time I tried to order, there was no chicken). I placed an order to go for chicken wings, mac and cheese and greens. The mac and cheese is not baked or seasoned at all. It tastes like someone boiled the macaroni and put melted cheese on it. the chicken is bland and I'm not a fan of the chicken hairs still on it. The greens are extremely salty. Not to mention the place looked so dead and the woman who went to get my order had a bad attitude. This is not soul food.
