We stopped in Blairmore on our way home, going through the Crowsnest Pass on a very hot Saturday in July. The temperature was over 34 C and the outdoor pool besides the Chicken restaurant was absolutely packed with people, trying to beat the heat. When we walked in around 3 pm to order there was a line up and the small take out restaurant was full. Behind the counter, manning EVERYTHING (cash, phone, retrieving orders, taking orders) was ONE young lady. Behind, in the kitchen was ONE cook. I have worked customer service many years and could see this poor young lady was absolutely working as hard as she could to keep up. As good, efficient and managing to keep her cool and stay pleasant, I could see she was barely managing. At least TWO more people should have been there. I doubt herself and the cook even got a break. It was non stop calls and customers. It was absolutely mayhem, people kept coming and the phone kept ringing. We waited at least half an hour, maybe more for our order. Not her fault, but the sauce we ordered and paid for was not in the take away bag. The employee was doing the work of three people and I imagine it was the same for the cook. The chicken itself is good -- expensive, but fried chicken at any takeout is now a days. Owners --PLEASE get more staff for those hot, summer days when you know many tourists will be flooding your town. I will pass next time on going to Charley Biggs because of this experience and my admiration goes to the one cook and the pretty young lady with dark hair and a pony tail. Most seasoned veterans would throw their apron down and go running out of there.

There was chicken on standby, so there wasn’t the long wait that I had last time. It was fast and still fresh. One of the people working there brought the food out to my vehicle. It was truly a delightful experience and I can’t wait to go back the chicken flavor. It was delicious. Also had some onion rings. They were fresh crisp. Very tasty.

Was passing through Blairmore and stopped here for supper. Best fried chicken we have ever had. Strongly recommend this place. Tender juicy and just delicious.

Very expensive ,.food was typical deep fried chicken certainly nothing special no a KFC flavor but ok, at those prices won't be coming back

Nice to be able to call down and have meat sliced, cantaloupe cut up from time to time. Appreciate the fast service and their new menu items will have me down there for breakfast.
And people shouldn't put a whole lot of weight into the negative reviews they have. They are surrounded by two rehabs and the detention center. They can't control their clientele but knowing the volume they do down there and having to tell some 'NO' must be a continual problem.
For the years I've been heading there for the variety of items, they do well considering.

The service is top-notch! Not only the guy on the front counter gave me free sauce he gave it to me while I was in my car. Chicken straight juicy and crispy. Perfect fries and Onion rings. I suggest you try the fried mushroom as they are super fresh!

POCs I wouldn’t spend my hard earned money there if I was you ! Staff is very rude and racist. I’ve given them multiple tries throughout the years Bc they are the closest store to my home , but everytime I go in there I feel uncomfortable. When this store first opened they had a rude man working the register and he ask me rude questions about my appearance and even said “I don’t know why you people put holes in your face”. Who is “you people “ for one ? & it’s none of his concern. Today was my last straw, not practicing social distancing , had people reaching over me as I’m checking out, i told the person they could wait and the very rude cashier told me to “watch it”. Like whaaaat? I miss the old owners . They had stale candy but ATLEAST THEY HAD GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE .! Plus the chicken is bland , dry, and stale. DO NOT SHOP THERE .!
Plus they don’t even have restroom for their customers .
If you want some good chicken tenders Guthrie’s on highland ave has a bucket for $20. 25 tenders , and they don’t charge for sauce . Tenders are yummy.

Food is often made fresh so sometimes you have to wait a few minutes but it always tastes good. The prices are a little higher than other fast food chicken places but not unreasonable. Have definitely been more than once since moving here. They advertise as “chicken and sauce” but their “sauce” is just cheap dips like you get at the gas station, wish they had better tasting sauces.
Best darn chicken ever.. count in the onion rings and potato wedges french fries and everything else. I don’t particularly like the gravy but everything else is great. Highly recommend if you’re hungry ??

We stopped in here last December and LOVED the onion rings (and chicken) so much that we now swing in off the highway every time we’re driving by. Great food, and you can call ahead and order and then it’s ready when you arrive. We always take ours to go as there not much for seating inside.

If you like good fried chicken then give this place a try. Pretty much classic fried chicken joint that has a few other things on the menu.

We go there often as the fried chicken is great and we also love the poutines. We often have the fried mushrooms which we love too. Service is quick and good and food is fresh.
