Hill District by North Pier

We just left Hill District by north Pier. There were 4 other tables seated when we arrived. We watched at least 25 trays of food go across the street to the brewery during the hour and 15 minutes we waited for our sandwiches. When we complained we’re told brewery was very busy and food is served in the order the food order is placed. E were apparently 25th in line for our food. When we questioned where our food was and told the waitress that we’re going to leave in 5 minutes she told us that she had no way of knowing how busy they were across the street. She barely apologized, brought our check and never came back. Never offered us a dessert for our wait, a free entree or even much of an apology. Lack of staff taking any ownership for the poor service will keep us from returning.

Drinks are great! bbq was good as well! Need better staffing! was in to dine this week and Bartender was running around doing EVERYTHING in the front of the house. Kitchen staff brought a few plates out to different tables but didn't care to help clean tables off or help bartender in any way, instead when we stood up to leave they were playing on their phones in the kitchen. Work together and succeed together! EVERYTHING we've had here is great but seriously don't leave your bartender high and dry to do EVERYTHING in the front of the house!

First time we’ve been here. Service was great! Food was super good. I had the smash burger and it’s the best one I’ve had. My hubby had the brisket. He said it was great. All of the desserts are homemade. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back soon!

Recommended to us for a great burger. The burgers were great, huge and perfectly cooked. They also had a different selection of North Pier Brewing beers than the brewery across the street. Their French fries were super crispy and hot when served.

I was told before I went there, "they have the best burgers." I thought to myself, sure they do! (Sarcasticly lol) Guess what? They got the best freaking burgers!!! They were amazing!! You have to go there and see for yourself.

I was on a road trip and decided to stop by here. Usually places like these are hit or miss, but this time, I had zero regrets! I had a classic burger and it was absolutely delicious! Easily the best burger I've had in a very long time! Will definitely be coming back here again soon!

Parking: Parking is located across the street from the restaurant. When I was there, there were plenty of spaces, but it looks like it could definitely fill up when busy.

North Shore Inn is a great place to go for a delicious burger. The service is quick and kind. The prices a fairly decent. The bar itself has been updated recently, but still has an old school charm.

I told the chef surprise me and he gave me this beauty of a burger, couldn’t even finish it in one sitting?‍?

Great burgers but check your bill before you leave if Ty is working the bar. He will try over charge you then try to give you drink tokens if you go and complain. Hard times to find honest people, but st. joe is a small town Ty.

Met Ali on his first day behind the bar. Very welcoming and accommodating.Several weeks later, even better!Tonight, he was covering bar, hosting, delivering food.High quality, committed individuals like Ali are rare!He is truly a Diamond in the rough!Restaurant is community environment and supported.

Always a great place for a burger. High quality ingredients and friendly service. The cheeseburger deluxe was delicious, and the cheese curds are some of the best around.

Burgers and wings were AMAZING!! Best in the St joseph/Benton harbor area. I had onion rings as a side which I would definitely order again.Weird bull painted on the wall. I would’ve left based on vibe alone. Don’t let the bizarre decor deter you. Fantastic food.
