Only two tables being waited on and it took 45 minutes for our food. Fillet was sent back twice due to being over cooked. The augratin potatoes were dry, not good at all and barely warm. These is prebaked and microwaved. They consisted of layers of sliced potatoes and topped with a white cheese. Then, hoping to salvage the potatoes we asked some butter since they were more like baked potatoes than au gratin. They don't have regular butter only a garlic butter blend for their bread. Same thing with the squash blend that comes with the meal. If fresh, they would have been tasty but ours were cold. Literally cool to the touch. $50 plus for a steak and/ or a 8 ounce fillet and it's just not worth stopping here. No bread or salad included in these meals. We were highly disappointed. If you've got a cook who can't correctly cook a steak to medium rare, you are losing money. This fillet was tough from being so over cooked.

We made res. As soon as they opened. Noone answered so we left a message and asked for a confirmation for 5 at 5pm. No respond so called back and were told 6:15 was the earliest. Got there on time and the restaurant was almost empty. We're seated..Noone came for 15 min. Then our waiter told us he'd be back in 5 min to take our orders.15 min later he came back for our drink order. Drinks came about 1/2 hour later. Ordered our meals and they came about 45 min later. The people who sat outside were continually attended to. There were only a few tables occupied inside. We should have left 10 min after we sat down. Poor service and the food wasn't the greatest. Will never go back again. Expensive and poor quality.

Whenever eating at the Blue Cow our service has always been spot on. The servers are always attentive, drinks never go empty. I love how the food is always prepared fresh. If you sit at the bar you can watch the cooks prepare your meal. And they always offer a variety of delicious desserts. If you're too full, be sure to take one home with you.

Absolute best place to have either lunch or dinner in Big Rapids. All the food is locally sourced and I believe organic. I've never had a dish that I didn't like here. All the food is prepared very professionally and to order.The staff are very polite, professional, and accommodating. The bartender will make drinks to order and can accommodate most request!
Vegetarian options: I believe all vegetarian options are at least labeled. All food orders can be customized for specific dietary needs.
Parking: You can park out front, along the road, however I recommend parking out back as there is plenty of parking and it's not roadside, but rather lot parking.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome, however, given the more upscale atmosphere, I wouldn't necessarily recommend bringing noisy or rambunctious children to this location.
Wheelchair accessibility: The front door of the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. The back door has stairs.

I have had a mild addiction to their Rib Eye for years. Tried their Jambalaya this week and it was awesome. All the chefs there are rock stars and the Owners are all in when it comes to community involvement. Love the freshness of the Farm to Table vegies. We went or dinner there tonight and ended up walking out after staff's unacknowledgment. We were there for probably 15 minutes watched others who had come in after us have servers walk right up greet them, grab drinks, and one had even started a food order while we hadn't even had our drink orders taken. I understand dinner rush was starting up but there's no reason to not at least acknowledged your tables and let them know you're busy. Very disappointing since it's one of my husband's favorite places and we were out celebrating our anniversary.
