Just went here to get my bf who just had surgery a nice steak and seafood meal. Order was TOGO. Total was around $66, plus a $12 tip. HORRIBLE cooking. Steak was horribly seasoned and undercooked, lobster was over cooked, clam strips are just soggy batter. Crab meat was undercooked and a bit slimy (dangerous to eat seafood not cooked properly.) The only thing I could eat were 3 shrimp, and a sweet potato, and my bf ate some of his soggy fries and asparagus. That’s what we ate for $66. Super cute place, but don’t recommend- at least on take out. Couldn’t even barely eat and spent quite a bit. Not happy. Great idea for a restaurant, hopefully they can work out the kinks and perhaps get a well trained seafood cook. Super nice staff. Hope it works out for them.

A downgrade from their previous location. The service has terribly declined, with most staff being disrespectful or extremely inattentive. Last time I went there, I was given a different table's bill and they were given mine. The waitress never even noticed until we said something. Have been trying to order on the phone since about 10:45 and the phone has rang busy each time and given the current state of their parking lot, I dont believe it's because they're slammed with ord

Would have been three stars because the steak sandwich was good, fries were good.Service was horrible, slow and rather unpleasant speaking, not rude just didn't know how to serve.Took 10 minutes just to pick up our cash to pay.One server dropped a customer's credit card and she knew it and failed to get it. She actually told the customer she dropped it. The customer was elderly and it was hard for her to look under the table for it. I found it across asle and under the table. I got a hug for it, how nice of her.We will try again.

Great dessert. Great place to stop and get two cups of coffee and share a dessert we will definitely go back to this location. Friendly staff although they were a little busy and we did have to wait a little while for our bill. The parking lot and entrance is a little confusing. More so that the people coming in are so confused. still worth it just be careful getting in and out of the parking lot and getting in and out of the front door. Also don't get run over by the kitchen staff. the front door and kitchen door both use the same hallway to get to the dining areas. You can tell this used to be an old house or something. But still a great place to eat. I will try to get a meal next time.

We had breakfast at the new Ala Mode last week, and it was just as good as the old location. My kids always appreciate the Mickey Mouse pancakes and I haven't found something I didn't enjoy. By far the best breakfast in town.

Unfortunately we did not have the best experience. Tried to be optimistic about giving this place a shot. Waited forever to order our food and when we did they were out of items we ordered. Took almost 40 minutes to get our food. Sat us in a very cold room with no heat and the wait staff were not very tentative. I wish them the best of luck but we will not be coming back for dinner.

The food is outstanding. Lobster Bisque is the best. The portions are generous. The wait staff is really helpful and attentive.
When we arrived at R Place they were very busy. It took awhile to be waited on, but the waitress was very pleasant and our dinners were delicious. We had the jumbo shrimp and the seafood platter. Both were excellent. Look forward to our next meal there

Been to R Place multiple times. I've always had great service and great food. Finally got the courage to try Gator Bites (fried Alligator) tonight, and oh my!! I don't know why I waited so long. Very, very delightful. The dipping sauce is to die for as well. The special tonight was fried cod with fries and coleslaw. Let's just say I didn't leave hungry and had to take leftovers home. Will continue to support this restaurant whenever I'm in Big Rapids. They have a great selection of seafood.

I understand that they are just getting started but we had to call our server over to our table every time we needed anything and after approx 40 minutes and not even taking our order, we left. Our server was so busy with a table of six (that came in right after us), our table of two was pretty much ignored, even after telling them it was my birthday!! Oh, and the manager ran out after us and didn't even apologize. She just gave us excuses and was mad that we were leaving!! I left a message the next day and she didn't even return my call!
