Sugar Creek Restaurant

Sugar Creek Restaurant used to be our go to but it seems all the regular workers have left which is sad as they had it running like a well oiled machine. We used to have a man waiter which we loved he was great. I would like to know where he went. We saw they were finally open this morning after random open times. No explanation on their webpage about why they weren’t open. Sign would say open and we would get there and they were closing. Very strange. We saw they were open today and decided to try to go in. We got there and some lady was wandering around like she didn’t know what to do. She then came over and gave us menus and got our drink order. When she came back we told her we needed a couple minutes to look and figure out what we wanted. When she came back to take our order, I went first and ordered a burger and she said oh we are only doing breakfast. It was 11:30am and everyone around us was eating stuff like burgers and fries. BUT wouldn’t it have been nice to know when we walked in that they were only doing breakfast before we had our drinks and had to stay. I said ok well we need more time. 3 of us ordered breakfast and one nothing because she didn’t want breakfast. They also had no Coke!! 😡. Food was slow and cold and not very good. Waitress was not good at refills. Food expensive for what we got and nothing like it used to be. We won’t be going back. Sad demise to a place that was once a great place.

This place can't keep employees because they treat them terrible. Please do not patronize people like that.

Small little Café, with a very friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious.
My family and I love trying different restaurants and cafés out. We drove 40 minutes just for this one. It was well worth it!

Ordered “The Heights” burger. Ham, Bacon and beef patty. Excellent burger. Steaming hot and great flavor. Tater tot rings were crispy and also hot. Would recommend this place!
Wife ordered smelt basket and had no complaints!

We did a search for breakfast spots and this was a hit. Our waitress Rachel was exceptional! Large selection, ample portions (I took half home) and the best homemade raisin toast. Cute place out in the country.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of seating so it’s great for a group or a car seat or booster/high chair.

Tried to do a takeout order. A girl on the phone said to give her a second and i was on the phone for 32 minutes. I heard all the conversations too, loved hearing them laugh and joke as i waited to order some food. If you love zero customer service then this is the place for you!

My $20 breakfast filled less half the plate. The 3 smallest pieces of french toast i have ever seen was $10. I ordered 3 strips of bacon and received 2 and that was $5. Add my lemonade and coffee and its over 20 bucks for a breakfast that leaves me needing to visit the Bagginses in the Shire for Second Breakfast. i think the problem was just my order. When i walked out disappointed and hungry everyone else's plate looked to be heaping.
