Food itself was pretty good, we (2 adults) split an order of the western omelet. Coffee was only decent, and the waitress was friendly.
What really brings the rating down is the unexpected and added expenses that were not mentioned until paying at the counter.
(Additionally, the "check" received and taken to the counter did not give a breakdown beyond the entree and overall cost.)
The waitress brought an extra plate but did not mention there was a charge for doing so. Further, the person ringing us up at the end did not mention or point out the credit card fee.
Not planning on stopping in ever again, hope the few cents they made was worth it.

This place use to be great. Good food and a lot of it at a reasonable price. However this is not the case anymore. The quality of food has dropped way off over the years. This is due to changes in staff because not everybody can work there forever. The cooks are definitely not as good and management is definitely of lower standard because they aren’t doing anything to fix the poor food quality. The 4.5 review score is because of old reviews when this place use to be good. I use to love eating here one of my favorite restaurants of all time so it just makes me sad that it’s fallen way off. I’ve eaten here several times a year every year over the past 25 years. It is not the same anymore and hasn’t been for years. I’m done going to this place I have given it many chances and it keeps letting me down.

The food and portions were amazing. The service not so much, maybe they were having a bad day I don't know. Old school step back in time dinner. Great experience drive over 4 hrs to come here. Definitely will b back.

Well, the food tastes excellent. I had an unfortunate experience here years ago and it really turned me off. I finally gave it another chance and the food definitely tastes good. The service was much better this time around as well. I am conflicted how to say this next part, because I do want to say, depending on what you get, you can get generous portions. I ordered an omelet with a side of fries and pop to go with it. Unless the prices on the menu were in correct, I was charged over $10 for the pop and fries. I am sorry, but when I am paying over $12 for an omelet, that is a bit steep, the potato should really come with it or at least make it a total of $14-15. I know other places where I could get it all, including a drink for what I paid for here. yes the bread was nicer with home made jam, that part you are not going to get at a lot of places. I am not trying to besmirch the place. It is good food and like I said, you do get generous portions (you can get over 1lb of bacon to go along with your eggs). I would come back, but it is pricy. I could pay slightly more and get a nice ribeye from Lucky's. I realize it is harder to feed the family where ever you go, but $24 (since I paid in cash) for an omelet, fries, and pop (which I did not get a refill of)? High.

I've been to Tonys in Burch Run many many times dating back to when you got HANDFULS of candy when you paid your bill and the menus were newspaper type. The food was always amazing and worth the wait. The past couple times we've stopped while in the area haven't been all that great. Most of the staff is friendly and the portions are still ginormous, but the eagerness to seat you quickly has fallen short with dirty tables and lack of room. Our last visit was on 11.30.24 and when seated, our two top table was very dirty with syrup all over the table and food on the seats. The larger table next to us was using our table to place dirty plates. We stood at the table waiting for someone to come by and clean it off and that took at least 5 minutes. When a waitress did walk by, she told us she'd be right with us, but not even questioning why we were still standing. She asked us for our drink order and I immediately informed her we needed the table wiped off. She seemed annoyed. Granted they were extremely busy and we were being patient but nobody wants to sit at a dirty table. The syrup on the table was in spoonfuls everywhere, not just a small spot that we could clean with a napkin. The dirty plates should have been the first sign to the waitress that we were standing for a good reason. The bench seat I was sitting in, connected to the table next to us, was broken. I was sitting at least 4" lower than I should have been and sliding down towards the floor. I had to use my feet against the floor to keep myself on the seat. I asked the person (stranger) at the table next to me if they were having the same issue and they claimed they were. I mentioned it to the waitress as we leaving and she didn't seem much interested. I ordered onion rings with my meal and there was something off about the taste. I only ate one and boxed the rest. Later that night, I got sick. A few hours later, my fiance got sick after finishing his sandwich and all my onion rings. The onion rings are the only common food we shared and we both got sick. This won't deter us from visiting in the future, however, I feel there are many things that have gone slightly downhill over the years.

This Restraunt is a must go too experience. Fun For the family food portions are Gargantuous, hence Tony's way of making sure your fed. If I ranked this restraunt in MI it would be in my top 5 favorite places to go to eat.
