Bobbie Que's Ribs, Chicken and Jamaican

I drove 25 min to tryout this place once I found out that it served halal oxtail. I was not disappointed. The oxtail bowl was delish. It was spicy but not overly. The only downfall is they didn't have any cocoa bread that day but, jalapeño cornbread did come with the bowl. Overall the tenderness of the oxtail was on point and the bowl was tasty.

Small portions for the price. Not sure if it was the time of the day I ordered or what. My jerk chicken bowl was 1/3 empty. Chicken didn’t have much seasoning and the sweetness was overpowering. I paid extra- I think $5.50- for a side of plantains but didn’t think I was going to get a pitiful portion of fried plantains. Plantains tasted good and so did the rice and beans so it wasn’t all a bust. Just disappointing for someone who was excited to find a local Jamaican spot.

I ordered the oxtail. The meat was sliced into very small pieces and the stew was somewhat watery. Other than that, the flavoring was great and it had a very slight kick to it.

The food is really good. They have the best cabbage I’ve ever had at any other Jamaican restaurant. The amount of food matches the price! I had dinner and lunch for the next day. I will be returning!

Food is disgusting I hate to leave a review for a small business but I wasted my money after seeing a few content creators post this I was excited to try it but me and my wife couldn’t even finish the food it was terrible I hope they could revamp the recipes maybe I’ll come back in the future because I love Jamaican food but this is not one I’ll be returning to. The food was so disgusting I want to dispute the charges with my bank lol the greens was horrible the rice and peas had no flavor and the jerk chicken was very bland the only thing that held the food was the side of jerk sauce.

Very bad experience. My plantains were burnt, the customer service was horrible, and the wait time was ridiculous. I love to support small business but this is outrageous I will make sure not to come here again, portions are way to small for what we’re paying, my plantains were 5.50 and they gave me about five small pieces of plantains. Don’t come here they play in your face about your food and your money.

I went to Bobbie Que's on Friday August 29, 2025 for the first time and I gotta give them five stars. I ordered Oxtails with Jasmin Rice and Turnip and Mustard greens. Jerk Chicken with Mac & Cheese and Steamed Cabbage with Jalapeno corngread. BooYaah!!!! the food was slap yo mama good. Can't wait till after Labor Day to get back over there to get more of everything.

jerk chicken was excellent! all the sides were spot on delicious. Absolutely one of the best meals i’ve had in a longtime! Atmosphere was clean warm and welcoming. service was friendly and fast. 10/10

My oxtail stew was amazing. The sides omg truly tasty. I had the oxtail stew with white rice, cabbage, baked beans, potato salad, greens, macaroni n cheese n jalapeño corn bread. I know I sound greedy n I am but im 102pnds n on a feeding tube so hush. My husband had the Jamaican jerk chicken n mac n cheese. We both loved it but because he doesn't eat vegetables I picked his sides n ate everything but not all in one day. The next day it was even better. I was in the hospital getting a feeding tube placed but I can still eat n baby I did. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be back! It was all perfectly made. The wait was worthwhile. Nice sized oxtail and portions. Yummy!

Ridiculously expensive. And the food is not worth it. FYI I go to Jamaica every year, and I lived in Toronto for six years. I will never be back, I suggest you never come. Oh, and they had no change today, they asked me if I was OK just not getting changed. Considering how expensive the food was that was not OK.

A little bit after that, the owner walked in, shortly after I got my change. The Owner had the nerve to walk up and attack me, saying that the employee felt intimidated by me. I was in no way rude at all. In fact, I walked in extremely happy Voicing my excitement that I found the place! When I looked up at the expensive prices, I wasn’t even going to mention them at all, but inside I was disappointed that a simple meal (bowl of food) and a drink was over $20. I’m well aware that the food shouldn’t cost this much. And I am not a rude person, Sometimes our people can be very unfair to one another. Entitlement can be a disease.
