Absolutely incredible experience here. We had a group of 4 adults and 4 young kids. The staff were so accommodating and friendly and the food and beers were out of this world. We tried 3 appetizers - cheese curds, jalapeños, and pretzel and also shared the mixed meat platter. Every bite was phenomenal. The staff also shared about all the ways they give back to their community and it’s honestly just so heartwarming. You can eat here knowing that your support of this business gives back to those who need it most. It was a great vibe the moment we walked in the door. We are so glad we decided to venture out of our ski resort for the night as this dinner was one of the highlights of our trip for sure. Will absolutely be back here next time we visit the area. The atmosphere here was perfect, especially for a cold and snowy day. The greeting, service, and hospitality were everything you might hope for. Top that with the Bavarian Pretzel, the Stiggs Chili (Sweet potato chili topped with brisket, cheese, and sour cream), a Smokehouse Burger (1/2 pound, with pepper jack, brisket, pulled pork, onion rings, and barbecue sauce). The food is great as are the brews - we sampled several - and it is obvious that they focus on overall quality (food, beverage, service, cleanliness, atmosphere), letting nothing slip through the cracks.
We would absolutely recommend Stiggs and hope to return soon ourselves !

Outstanding! I had the prime rib and my husband had the brisket and Mac n cheese and it was cooked to perfection! The brisket chili was very hearty and great blend of spices and thickness. They are one of the best places for bbq in the area! The atmosphere in the bar area is always upbeat. The bartender was so nice and was very attentive to all the guests. Overall excellent date night if you are in the area! Highly recommend!
Parking: Ample parking lot, and street parking.
Kid-friendliness: We have brought the grandkids there before, and they had a great time! Coloring pages and a nice atmosphere for children

If you’re in Boyne City and NOT stopping at Stiggs Brewery & Kitchen, you might want to reconsider your life choices. This place doesn’t just serve food and beer—it serves happiness on a plate and in a pint glass.
I started with the Stiggs Hay Burner beer, and let me tell you, it’s aptly named. It’s so smooth and flavorful that it could probably fuel a hay burner (and me) all day long. It’s got that perfect blend of hops and magic that makes you feel like you’re drinking pure Michigan vibes.
Then came the brisket sandwich, and OH MY GOODNESS. This sandwich didn’t just feed me—it hugged my soul. The brisket was tender, smoky, and piled high like it was trying to one-up the beer (spoiler: they’re both winners). Paired with whatever they’re doing in that kitchen wizardry-wise, it was a culinary mic drop.
The atmosphere? Relaxed but buzzing with energy. The staff? Friendlier than your grandma after you compliment her pie. The food and drink? Unforgettable.
10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves good beer, great food, and better company. Stiggs isn’t just a brewery—it’s an experience.

Worst bbq I've ever had. Brisket was mostly fat. Bbq chicken was so dry it could only be eaten doused in sauce and ribs were jerky. I'd be lucky if I got 10 bites of meat on that 3 meat platter that was edible!! Cornbread was OK. Slaw had no flavor. Potato salad tasted like sour cream and that was it. Will not be going back. Lemonade was good but tasted like a mocktail. No taste of booze in that at all.
The bartender lady was very aggressive and acted like we were bothering her by ordering. Not going back again Sad because the food and beer were good. To not feel welcome is a shame when we were as nice as could be,

I stumbled in here on a gray autumn day. I never pass up an opportunity for barbecue and craft beer and this place has both. A godsend. I had a huge plate of barbecue and a rice lager. Both were just fantastic. Great place. 5/5.
