This is the third time I have been to “my local bar.” Each time it is the same. Bartender looks past me to wait on the 5 men seated at the bar (I’m assuming they are regulars,) they all have drinks and I’m sitting there waiting for my carry out I ordered 20 minutes prior. The bartender ignores me until taking care of her “regulars” (btw, I’m a server and tip well.) I did not want to hang out at the bar and that’s why I preordered my food to go. I was told 15 minutes and arrived at that time. Unfortunately, they hadn’t even started my food. The young lady cooking my food appeared to be intoxicated and the bartender was no help. So I waited 15 minutes (now 35 from ordering) for them to finally approach me. After another 20 minutes I finally got my food. They charged me full price for 2 pieces of fish and onion rings (which should’ve been a meal) and I also got southwest chicken eggrolls. The fish was delish! The rest was inedible. Poor service unless you’re a “regular”and a man, and the food is awful. Such a shame…..

The service from the bartenders is always delightful. There is a mix of folks passing through and regulars, but it's a comfortable place as a traveler. There are events that draw quite the crowd, but the food and service is what keeps me coming back and bringing new people with me. This is a mandatory stop any time I pass through Ortonville on my bike.
