Food mediocre and blahI sent my cold pancakes back and new ones came with a funny taste, like oil or crud from grill. 3 other people around us had cold pancakes, too. Butter wouldn’t even melt. Waitress doesn’t bring food out in a timely manner.. Waitress needs time management.Meat way over cooked. I expect better.Casserole was delicious

I ordered what use to be my favorite breakfast of sour dough French toast to-Go. I was so disappointed when I was unable to eat it as it tasted extremely salty. Not sure if it is grilled with bacon grease or? Needless to say it was money not well spent and sad I couldn’t eat it. I will now be reluctant to order again. Side note….it was much better the old way before change made adding cinnamon and powdered sugar.

The actual food and service was great. The problem arose when I tried to pay with two gift cards. Because these were older gift cards, without a pin number, they were refused (despite the fact that each card said on it "it never expires"). I was told I would have to call customer service and they would re-issue a gift card. So I paid with a credit card and called customer service when I got home. The C.B. customer service line is a joke - one cannot speak with a live representative and there was no way to leave a message to address my issue. So I contacted customer service online. I got a response which said my concern would be reviewed and I would get a response within 5 business days. That was March 15th. On April 12th I got a response, which begs the question, does customer service only work 5 days a month? 3 days later I got an ecard for the value of one of the gift cards. But what about the second card? So, I have to start this ridiculous process all over again, even though I referenced TWO cards (with their respective numbers) in my original communication. Like I said, I really like the restaurant, but something is definitely broken in C.B.'s customer service department and corporate should pay attention.
Everything we ordered came to us perfect. Server was very pleasant.

If your hours say you're open till 9:00 and you have customers standing there waiting 20 minutes till 9:00 and you choose to ignore them because you're all just trying to leave....maybe you should just change your hours to closed at 8:40 because that's exactly how we were tetreated. Went to the Birch run location because we had a bad experience at the Flint location. Currently don't see any difference like I used to. Their bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Not a single employee acknowledged our presence in that restaurant or store. The manager was in such a rush to leave I don't even think she noticed us or just chose to ignore us like everyone else. It's not just about the revenue you lost. It's about the customer service that is ultimately going to cost you business. Even the later crowd.
