I came here on taco trivia night and the food and service was the best I’ve had in Michigan. They have great deals daily. Perfect place for people traveling through looking for a nice meal. 9.5/10

Food is quite good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is fun. The problem is the service, mostly at the bar. Both Howard and ...we forget him her name but she's old tall and thin are ALWAYS bad mouthing the owners and coworkers. It's very disturbing. If you hate the owners, get a new job! Further, as I've been coming here off and on since the 90s, I'm not a regular. They both spend way too much time ignoring the majority for their regular friends. At any time when these two work you will see empty drinks as they ignore all but their regulars. My last visit the female and her oncoming female relief were on the side playing on their phones as we waited to place an order. Another huge problem is how often they go out for smoke breaks while people sit with empty drinks or checks wanting to be cashed out. This is especially a problem in the dining area. If only they could fix the bartenders and servers I'd give it a 5 since the food is both good and a good value.

Disappointed! Two tables after us got their drinks and food before us.And, they ran out of fish! Why?....because I saw that guests were able to take home lots of fish in boxes that were provided to them after eating for the family tree! Take-home boxes should not be allowed for the "all you can eat" specials! This should be made clear when guests order these kinds of specials!And, my margarita on the rocks had orange juice in it. It was terrible! But, I did not complain until now.The deep-fried mushrooms were legit!

Howie was such a king, he kept the bar open for our group so we could finish watching the AFC Conference game, and was a fun guy to watch the game with. Great food (the onion rings are a must) and great selection of brews.

Came in on a Tuseday night and sat at the bar. It took the bartended 7 min to say hello and get me a menu. Then another 5 min before she came back for my order. The food was average, but I didn't expect Michelin Star food. I'd suggest making the bartender keep her phone in a locker in back. She was on that damn thing so much it took me 15 mins from the time i finished my meal to her checking if I wanted anything else or the check. I'm a Cubs fan with a home in the area. I could've been a good customer but I wont go there again. I just don't have the time to waste there.

I stopped here this past weekend, while traveling, with my partner who is a Cubs fan. We were excited to see this restaurant as we were passing through. The owner was so kind as to greet us at the door, and also check on us during our meal. Our server was also very very attentive and personable. I eat at restaurants often throughout the country, and this restaurant was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever been to. They had great food and the best service of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. It was truly a memorable experience. Thank you!! We will be back next time we are in town!!Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free and they were accommodating and were helpful with assisting me. I had no reactions to the food.Kid-friendliness: Fun seating, family friendly, calm and incredibly happy atmosphere when we were there.

We are locals that really don't do a lot of eating out due to poor service etc. owing to staffing issues rolling off the pandemic. We decided to try this place finally and were so glad we did!!! First of all the service was OUTSTANDING. The waitress Brenda was fabulous! She was the only waitress at lunch hour and serviced the bar as well as the dining room. She was pleasant, professional, and did an excellent job checking back with us to make sure we were good. It's so wonderful to finally find a place that has great service!We had the Bang Bang shrimp and the Italian Beef sandwich. Both were excellent and large portions. We also each had a glass of wine, both were healthy poors. Prices are reasonable. Decor is retro Chicago corner tavern with tons of Cub memorabilia and 11 large screen TV. We give The Getaway Cubby Grille two ??!! We will be back for sure!!!

Hey, if you're a Cubs fan, The Get-A-Way’s the joint to be at. Fast service, friendly faces, and an atmosphere jam-packed with sports memorabilia. Their burgers? Top-notch. And while their Chicago dogs might not be straight from the Windy City, they've got a taste that’ll make you come back. Holy cow! I’ll be swingin’ back soon!

I've been here in the past and had a wonderful experience this time I came in with seated with three other people and we waited 26 minutes and then just decided to leave because no one came to even take our drink orders. I suggest they hire more staff like I said I've had a good experience in the past hopefully no one else has this issue.

Ordered 2 beers and the waitress says, " so, a 1/2 pitcher then." Ok? Turns out a 1/2 pitcher is 3 beers. What a deal! Good burger. Had to watch the Cubs though, so there's that downside.
