Expensive and unremarkable. Instead of bringing the round of drinks we ordered, our waitress just dropped the check off after disappearing for 15 min. Only three other tables... Might try again?
What a pleasure to find Arta's tonight! Lovely staff!! Arta's is so close to Brighton and Howell, It's worth the drive if you live farther away!! The food is authintic and amazing! Great place for a romantic celebration. Thank you for my amazing dinner tonight!! I will definitely be back to try so much of your menu!!
On Easter, my husband and I were driving home after spending the day at Comerica Park. we were looking for someplace to eat. As you might know, pretty much everything was closed because of the holiday. We saw cars in Arta's parking lot so we decided we'll give them a try. We've never been to Artas yet, but it was on the list of places we would like to dine in at. We just moved to Michigan less than a year ago, so we weren't familiar with the fact that restaurants would be closed on Easter. Mind you, we were dressed in casual Detroit Tigers fan gear from baseball cap to blue and orange sneakers. Not to mention being wind blown from sitting outside, and I had nacho cheese drippings on the front of my Tigers T-shirt. We entered the doors to Arta's, and I saw what I consider an upscale dining room with white table cloths, table settings with wine glasses, and the servers wearing white dress shirts. My inclination was to run, but my husband was hungry, and he went straight to the hostess. I lagged behind in embarrassment. To my surprise, the hostess was gracious and, with a welcoming smile, invited us in.
It was close to closing time, so the dining room was half full. Other patrons were dressed up in their Sunday best. I was expecting the staff and other patrons to snear and look down at us. Not at all! The waitress came to our table right away, and like the hostess, she seemed glad to see us. I give Artas 5 stars and beyond for their service. From walking into the door to our departure, we had friendly and prompt service. There was only one server. I imagine because it was almost time to close the doors. She didn't miss a beat. We never had to ask for anything. Drink glasses were always full, and she checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our meals.
The only reason I gave 4 stars, and I hope this is just a one time experience based on the chef at that time. The food was so salty. I mean so salty that you could feel that salt sting with every bite. It was on the Calamari appetizer to both our main courses. The food presentation was beautiful. We did not tell the server about the saltiness as I personally was grateful for them treating us so kindly even though our appearance was more acceptable for a burger joint. I'd like to try Arta's again in hopes that the salt lick experience was a one-time mishap. Next time, I will make reservations. For a fine dining experience, the prices were reasonable. It would be easy to spend a couple hundred dollars for two people, salt aside it would be worth it.
Great food and service
Really italian cuisine! The food just tastes amazing! They have good wines and good prices. The bread is fresh made, relly delicious!
Authentic Italian. Lobster ravioli is just to die for!
I finally made it to this restaurant that was on my list and the food was great. I had the filet and others at the table had the chicken Parmesan
I finally made it to this restaurant that was on my list and the filet was amazing. Great food ans I highly recommend!
We tried 3 different pastas for takeout last night — spaghetti bolognese, tagliatelle with lobster, and the penne vodka and they were all so good, couldn’t decide which one we liked the most. Service was very helpful and friendly. The pear salad and bread were also delish, really fresh. Highly recommend!
This is our favorite restaurant in the area. Head chef Max puts together a fabulous selection of Italian dishes with the freshest ingredients always. I'm going to say, best Ceasar salad ever, dont leave out the anchovies. And a special shout out to the staff, Mira and especially Jessica, who always takes care of us in Friday nights. Please give this place a try!

5 STARS! I loved the ambience, decor and the fact that it’s not a gigantic restaurant. The service was very personal, from the moment that we walked in the door. Their Moscato is delicious! You can tell they use fresh ingredients! Bread, appetizer and dinner tasted wonderful!
I had the pleasure of dining at Arta’s last weekend. Food was fantastic and service even better. Wine selections were great as was the Espresso martini. I will definitely be back.
Best in Livingston County!!!!
Being a local guide with over 100 reviews from all over the country For the first time ever, I left a restaurant feeling completely taken advantage of. There was no kids’ menu, just a verbal list of options from the waitress with no mention of prices. My 11-year-old daughter ordered a kids’ chicken alfredo, which turned out to be $24—including a $10 upcharge for chicken that we were never informed about.
I ordered a chicken parmesan and a side Caesar salad, which alone cost over $40. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional—definitely not worth the exorbitant price tag. To make matters worse, the service was slow, though the waitress herself was friendly and pleasant.
By the end of the meal, our total was a staggering $90 (with tip) for just the two of us. I’d much rather go to Antonio’s or Andiamo’s, where pricing is transparent, portions are fair, and the quality justifies the cost. This experience left me disappointed and frustrated, and I won’t be returning. For the first time ever, I truly feel like I was ripped off at a restaurant.
Thank you Artas! The best authentic Italian restaurant ❤️ in Brighton area. The service and atmosphere is amazing!
