My experience was ok to say the least, the portions were small and I pulled a hand sized hair from my soup. I have been there a few times and it was ok but after this I won't be going back.

I had been wanting to order Cajun Joes for such a long time and it kept being closed every time we went to order on DoorDash, and because it was on DoorDash I actually have no idea what the actual service or atmosphere were like. We finally got it today and I had ordered the 3 piece catfish meal, seafood is my favorite kind of food so I was very excited to try Cajun catfish. One of the pieces was hardly the size of half of one of the other pieces, I took one bite and it tasted like the bottom of a lake. I’ve had catfish before and never tasted anything so off putting and honestly gross as this catfish. It wasn’t fishy, it literally tasted like lake water, strongly. I had my boyfriend try it after and he confirmed that it tasted like a pond. I couldn’t even eat another bite of it so there’s $14 down the drain. He goes to eat his 4 piece chicken meal and it’s the wrong flavor. The potato wedges were fine, didn’t taste very Cajun, more like any potato wedge at any restaurant.

Food was pretty bad (the spicy chicken is the only decent food item), but the guy working the front was so rude and unprofessional. He was unable to speak clearly, and then made stupid comments about every little thing. Very disappointed.

I hope the owner reads my review and can apply my suggestions. I ordered the fried crawfish, with a side of chicken gumbo soup and cornbread, for a total of $15. Overall, the portion size felt appropriate for the price.

The gumbo soup was hearty and flavorful—I highly recommend it! The cornbread was below average, so next time I’ll try the biscuit instead.

The biggest disappointment was the fried crawfish. The batter was quite bland. There were plenty of chunks of meat and some nice-sized tails, but I hope the owner considers offering a true Cajun-style deep-fried version. Also, a dipping sauce would really elevate the dish; a Cajun dipping sauce would likely be very popular with customers.

Overall, my lunch was below average, but the fair price prevented me from giving a lower rating. I hope these suggestions are helpful for improving the fried crawfish experience!

The tacos were sooooooo good!!! I’m picky about my Mexican because I cook it and it’s amazing so if it’s not as good or better than my own it’s hard to be satisfied. But this was really really good! So much flavor! I really loved it! And very friendly service!

The chicken is to die for and Rafael the owner is a very cool guy who provides excellent service to his customers. It’s the best chicken spot in Livingston county and very reasonably priced.

Got the spicy chicken. It’s absolutely fantastic. Great seasoning, moist, and nice and crispy on the outside definitely one of the better fried chicken that I’ve had.

The man at the counter is always rude. He always seems to say all the wrong things. The food is not nearly as good as it used to be. I sent employees to pick up items and had issues with the owner im guessing. If people are giving you money you should be happy not like we are a nuisance. Maybe smile and be friendly.
