Food was the best part of this experience the waitstaff was incredibly rude and uninterested. I work at a restaurant myself and this was just insane. I tried to ask a question about the bill to Jess and she was just plain rude. I usually try to be very kind because I understand working in the food industry can be hard and it’s stressful but I will not be coming back. Not worth it.

We were on our way home from University of Michigan where my son just had all his teeth pulled. They sedated him for the surgery but he was awake for the ride home and he was a little hungry. We came across Cheryl's Place right about 5 minutes before they were going to close for the day. My wife went in and asked if she could get a couple scrambled eggs for my son and a big burger for me and two coffees. Even though they were ready to close, they made the food for me and my son without hesitation. They also helped bring the food to the car for us.I think that was outstanding service going over and above what was expected of them. The whole staff were very friendly and fast and respectful of us and our situation. My son was able to eat the eggs even after his surgery and he liked them very much. The big burger I had was...OMG...soooo awesome, definitely the best burger I have had in many years.Next time I'm up that way I am going to stop by again but I will dine inside when I do.I rate it 100 stars out of 10

Good food. Big portions. I got the country fried steak it was huge, but the meat in the middle was so thin. I would suggest smaller and thicker, but that's my opinion; gravy was excellent, eggs toast and hashbrowns as well. Took more than half home! Will be back for sure.Vegetarian options: Salads

When my mother and I went to pay with a card our total was $36. The man at the counter handed my mom the receipt and it then said $38 after swiping it. He never disclosed they charged the consumer for using a card. Which is fine, but how about some transparency. You're more likely to not make people angry that way. When I asked about it, he mansplained a rant about covid, their p.o.s that they've had for 18 years that he didn't know the name of, and something he referred to as "cash-whatever". Sounded like a typical person, who didn't know what they were talking about. If you don't want to pay for their business fees for using a card as a consumer and not know about it until after the fact, bring cash, or just don't come here. Poor business practices.
