Nice atmosphere, as far as looks go, but it's feezing cold inside. The server gave it her best shot, but the wait time was pretty long. Prices are too high for too little, and the food isn't good enough to make up for it. Won't be returning.

Server did well with what she had. I recommend not going here. Manager was upset we brought the issues to her attention. Didn’t complain but wanted her to know. She got bent out of shape. The place is poorly ran. Has staffing issues, took a minimum of 45mins to take the order, minimum of 45mins to get the order and just as long to get the check. Forgot the simplest things like putting in the drink or food order. They give away a lot of free food and drinks because it comes out wrong. Food was mixed reviews, some loved what the ordered and some were like it’s alright. No food was bad but some had cold fries. The food in my opinion is overpriced. Atmosphere is basic. Nothing really going on. Nothing to really pull you in. At the end of the day if you have a party of 6 or more I wouldn’t recommend and it’s just basic and not that special when you can go to other places in town for a better experience and vibe.

We came on friday evening and waited for almost 10 minutes and they did not seat us. I guess they have staffing issues...not sure but not a good impression on people wanting to dine in.

service was okay, I was sticking to the floor when I walked to my table.. kinda gross, they have no beer for a brewery.. weird, I don’t know what happened to there old pasta but the Mac and cheese isn’t good anymore either, sad.

Went in a couple weeks ago wasn’t going to leave a review but still upset about this experience. I witnessed a very rude older lady manager yell at her server and at a table of 6 people because they wanted to see the basement. She screamed at her poor employee in front of the entire dining room and I was APPALLED that any business would allow there management staff to treat there staff like this and even guests? Why couldn’t they see the basement? But it looks like upper management doesn’t even check in on the place if people like that work there. THEN we went for trivia in a Wednesday and witnessed the same manager yell at the trivia lady for asking a server to buss a table. What the hell is this place and who is this woman??? I asked my server about this manager later and she said she was going to be the GM of some restaurant in Jackson called Iron?? I wouldn’t recommend Grand River Brewery because of this or this Iron place.
Ive been here before and didnt think of reviewing it but this most recent time changed my mind!!! Service was solid compared to last time i showed up. It was kind of slow and i still waited a decent minute before someone coming to take my order. I sat down ordered my drink and shortly after was ordering my meal. And OMG!!! Let me tell you I was skeptical of ordering the nacho. The first time I got it I was like yes it's good but I feel bad sending back almost a whole plate of chips but there was nowhere near enough ingredients for each chip to be eaten. But this last time I went... O M G!!! They had the chips spread out enough for every chip to have each ingredient on it. I don't know whose making the changes but keep it coming!!! There's definitely some improvement going on with the food and price to portion ratio that they need to keep up on. I was so impressed with my nacho I hope they keep up on it and improve other menu items the way they improved my nacho. I mean an ingredient for EVERY BITE!!! That's what a company should run on. I get a nacho with chicken and for probably 30 chips I had chicken on EACH BITE!!! Last time I ordered a nacho with chicken I felt ripped off with the little bits of chicken I had on like 5 little bits of my ENTIRE NACHO. I think they should keep up on this method. My first time compared to my second time was almost like they read my mind that there wasn't enough chicken. Keep the good food coming!!! An ingredient for every bite!!! After this last visit I'm curious to other items on their menu!!

The downward spiral continues. Some of my favorite servers and bartenders I've met work(ed) here. Really great front of house staff. Kitchen is hit and miss. I've shared meals and had great salmon and terrible beef tips during the same visit. I still have a $50 gift card in my wallet after the kitchen forgot to hydrate my fish before serving it. What? Over priced overall. Beer is good, but they seem to get whatever the main brewery doesn't need. If you like something, good luck ever seeing it again. Management has been a train wreck since they opened in 2024. They did replace the first manager from the opening days and there was some improvement. There is no way this place is going to make it. I feel like the jeans on the beach guy is calling the shots for this place. Too bad.
**Update** 8/25 Updated the menu and raised the price of most items by $2-$4. One of the biggest complaints is that the food is already overpriced.

Table of 7 all the food was bad, cooked wrong, 7 years late, and only thing they managed to get right was a pepperoni pizza (after an hour + of waiting).

Great service, great food... excited to see some things still on the menu that we can't get at the Jackson location anymore. Loved the special chicken sandwich and in a super cute spot downtown
First off, bartender Natalie was awesome! We sat at bar and had a delicious burger and fries. The meat tasted so fresh. Drinks were good as well. We will definitely go back and try something else
