The best sushi restaurant in Brighton. We love coming here for some delicious sushi 🍣. If you don’t want to wait definitely call in a take out order because they do get busy.

I absolutely loved this place! The salad was good. I am not a miso soup person, so it wasn't for me, but it you like miss soup it may be for you. We started with an order of Gyoza. Next, We had an Avocado Roll, U of M Roll, Mamacita Roll, and one other roll that i cannot remember the name of. The tastes were amazing and very flavorful. The Mamacita roll even had a soy bean wrapper which made for a very interesting and flavorful experience. I cannot wait to go back.

A trendy, Americanized Japanese spot offering a wide variety of creative dishes. The sashimi was impressively fresh, though the sushi was average. Overall, it’s a crowd-pleaser that caters to many palates.

Sushi Zen — Brighton’s Crown Jewel of Rolls 🍣
This is the only sushi spot I’ll go to — and trust me, once you try it, you’ll understand why. Order the Boss Roll, I Love Roll, and California Roll — the holy trinity of flavor. I’ve taken multiple sushi skeptics here, and every single one left a believer.

The rolls hit that perfect sweet–tangy balance. The California Roll acts as a gentle palate reset before you dive back into the main attractions. The Boss Roll brings the punch, the I Love Roll seals the deal.

The owner’s as warm as the rice, and the kitchen? Spotless and surgical. They get fresh produce every morning from a supplier who basically worships the avocado — and it shows. When they rolled out the Crab Rangoon Roll, I swear my mouth started watering harder than Niagara Falls.

Avoid the 5 p.m. Friday/Saturday rush unless you like waiting — but no matter when you go, it’s always worth it.
5/5 — sushi sorcery at its finest.

Missing a roll, caught by front desk and corrected. I love that attention to detail! Only thing missed was kids chopstick holders, which they intended roads

As a sushi lover, this is a place I frequent but not just for the sushi! The atmosphere here is amazing. Clean, decorated based on the time of year, chill, efficient
recently I had Beth for a seating hostess (called ahead to check on wait time and she was helpful) and Tyler for a waitress and I loved both. The starburst martini is delicious and I highly recommend the zorro roll, orange crush, screaming tuna, and the snowman.

My absolute favorite sushi place. So many choices. So fresh. Creative specials each month. Chefs are willing to do previous specials of the month as long as they have ingredients. There is sushi for everybody. Raw, cooked, vegetarian, dessert sushi. Other amazing appetizers and dishes as well. Gyoza steamed is a favorite appetizer. We really like the avocado bomb as well. Bento boxes, chicken katsu, rice bowls, stir fried noodle dishes. Vegetarian rolls - strawberry blossom roll, veggie love roll, banana hama roll all so delicious. Spicy California roll, shrimp tempura roll, crunchy roll. So many options. Great service each time. Wonderful restaurant.

I had a house ginger salad to start with. The flavor and quality was good, but it should have been chopped more. And the ginger dressing was too watery. Not prepared for easy chopstick use. So it was messy.

I then had a Vegetarian Futomaki roll. It was a disappointment. It certainly didn't live up to the price charged (the highest I've ever seen for Futomaki). I usually don't use soy sauce, but I needed it with this roll. Dry rice, and I struggled to identify the ingredients by taste and texture.

I then had a Tofu Bibimbap. It wasn't great. Severely lacking in tofu (which was poorly prepared), and the rice-to-vegetable ratio favored rice too much. The hot stone bowl wasn't hot enough to get the rice and gochugang to carmelize and crisp up. That's the best part of a Dolsot Bibimbap. Maybe that's not what they're selling, but why use the hot bowl otherwise?

There was no NA beer available.

Service was very good, but we felt slightly rushed. The atmosphere was good and the seating was comfortable. The tables could be just a bit larger, but they worked. It was quiet considering how busy it was when we left.

I feel that my overall three-star rating is appropriate for the experience. Considering the quality of the food though, I'll go elsewhere.

I’d consider myself a sushi connoisseur. My partner and I enjoy trying different sushi across the country. In the area and stopped by. Started with complimentary miso soup, it was okay. Nicely salted but nothing great. we got the Michigan roll and tuna and salmon sashimi. The sushi was probably some of the worst we’ve had. The Tuna had an off color and was dry. All the sushi had an odd odor. The rice tasted old, not fresh and sticky. The service was good, from host to sever and manager. Restaurant itself seemed comfortable and clean. Definitely would not recommend
