Our neighborhood dinner meeting was scheduled for April at the Canopy Restaurant in Brighton Michigan. The banquet room was beautifully designed. The chair coverings, table service was elegant. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very willing to accommodate. The food and drinks were superb. Our dinner group was incredibly impressed leaving many very nice comments. We definitely would recommend The Canopy to anyone who prefers a good meal.

I was invited to open my Iftar at canopy lounge on march 15th. It was the worst experience ever, the host that invited me booked out a certain amount of tables yet the owner was letting walk in guests sit on the reserved tables which left me with nowhere to sit. When I needed to wash my hands and enter the bathroom the owner of the restaurant yelled at me saying “BATHROOM IS CLOSED GET OUT OF THIS AREA!” Later I had heard that someone had left poop on the floor of the bathroom. When I was waiting in line for food I had seen things I’ve never seen in any restaurant before, ladies who were not part of the hosts Iftar were throwing drinks on the reserved tables, walk in guests were fist fighting with invited guests for tables. Onto the food aspect of the night, the trays of food were not being refilled for more than 20 minutes at a time and on top of that there was no plates to even put my food in. To finish this off this was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at ANY restaurant, I do not recommend that anyone comes in for the food or hosts their events there.

Came in for a drink with a friend. We ordered one old fashioned to share (it was the end of the evening) and the bartender brought us two. We declined the second drink because we didn't order it. When we went to pay the bill, we were charged nearly $20 for ONE drink. I have had some fabulous old fashioneds in my day and have NEVER paid $20 for one. When I questioned the charge, there was really not much of an explanation. I think the bartender was trying to make up for her earlier mistake in pouring two when we only ordered one. Unfortunate. More than likely, we will not visit again.

Bartender was fantastic! My fiancé and I have been here many times and had great experiences. Tonight the food was what I would expect to get at a Rams Horn! I got the chicken parm with spaghetti noodles. The chicken was cooked well but when you put a breaded piece of chicken in a bowl on top of noodles and too much extremely thin sauce it just made it soggy! Whole dish lacked execution and flavor. My fiancé got the burger and fries. The fries very salty and the burger very greasy and flavorless! We also got the deviled eggs which are our go to! Those are amazing.

The Canopy Lounge is a real treasure! They offer a unique menu and the food never disappoints! It’s always delicious and cooked to perfection. The drink menu is varied and we are always discovering new things to try. Best of all is the exceptional service and, most recently, our server John helped really guide us towards some great choices! We highly recommend The Canopy Lounge!

This was our third visit to The Canopy Lounge. First time was great! Second time was not quite as good but not enough to really complain about. This time,...definitely nothing to be excited about for the price.
Our server, Holly, was awesome. None of this has anything to do with her. She was friendly and efficient despite having way too many tables to take care of.
I had the tenderloin tips. Several pieces were very tough and chewy. The mashed potatoes underneath were barely hot. It was served with mushrooms that didn't appear to have been fresh. Taste - meh.
My partner had the chicken parmesan. The menu says nothing about green peppers in the sauce...many of us are not fans of that vegetable when it disagrees with our gastric systems. It would have been nice to have known that. It was served with a slice of barely melted cheese over the top of the very blah chicken. This was a really sad example of a fairly simple dish.
Will we go back? Maybe for happy hour but not for dinner.

Having been to Canopy once before, we were looking forward to a nice Valentine''s dinner. First surprise was that it was a set menu for $80 plus taxes and gratuity.( no one mentioned it when we made reservations) Since we were there we decided to stay. We chose shrimp cocktail, salad and prime rib/steak. The shrimp cocktail was for two and was seven medium sized shrimp on a plate. Salad was good. Prime rib was listed as 10 oz. Mine had a large chuck of fat on the end which was easily 1-2 oz. Asparagus was overcooked and steak tepid. It appeared that there was only one waitress covering so, understandably, she was not very available. The guitar music and dessert saved the meal from being a total disappointment. If Canopy wants to offer set menus they need to get their act together. Our meal was NOT worth the $200 + we paid.

Beware "char grilled" overabundant menus. The flavor is wildly overpowering, and so you can't taste the meat. This place is much more oriented toward liquor, which is fine since it's a lounge. I felt the lighting was "cool LED" toned, which wasn't super relaxing. I still recommend it for a chill afternoon experience e with friends. Not a great date spot. The taxidermy everywhere is interesting.
