It was my husband, mother and my 1st time in. Needless to say absolutely amazing! Our waitress Arianna, phenomenal and the food on point. My mom said the Korean BBQ Duck was cooked to perfection and the five mushroom soup was great. My husband got the Shrimp Mac & Cheese, which he said the shrimp where cooked to perfectly and balanced over all. As for mine, I got the Venison Backstrap and it was cooked to exactly how I ordered it, some places its hard for them to do rare in Venison but they did it. Plus all the flavors paired great together from the demi-glaze to the mushroom and everything in between. Got dessert to go but we will definitely be back.

My dad had passed away Sunday, May 18th. Since he was being laid out at the local funeral home in Brighton on Thursday, we wanted to have his dinner after the funeral at a local restaurant. With only 3 days notice it was hard to find a restaurant to accommodate 60 people on such short notice. A few of the restaurants recommended The Canopy. I called Charles on Monday and he didn't bat an eye. He made a stressful time for us very easy. The food was great, and the service was excellent. I received a lot of compliments. Thank you again Charles and Canopy for your hospitality. We appreciate you and your staff. Side note: I was also impressed that other establishments that couldn't accommodate us recommended The Canopy and other restaurants to us. It goes to show that Brighton is a great community. Horrible food. Marginal service. The Motherâs Day buffet was reminiscent of a school cafeteria and the prices were precocious!!! Go somewhere elseâ-anywhere else- frankly McDonaldâs is better because at least they know who why are!

The Canopy Lounge is absolutely top notch! I was in search of a venue to host my daughterâs First Holy Communion party for approx. 30 guests, without breaking the bank. Someone on the Brighton MI Happenings FB page suggested The Canopy so I checked it out. The minute I walked in was impressed by the modern rustic, yet vintage vibe this quaint restaurant has, and I was surprised by how big it actually is inside. Right away, I was greeted by co-owner, Bill Opre who gave me a tour, and showed me the new event space they added to the building a few months ago. It was perfect, so I booked it. Bill connected me with his GM, Charles Duty who took over from there. Charles was wonderful to work with. He went over all of the event package menu options, helped me with my selections, set up and all the final touches. Everything was first class! The food was amazing - we went buffet style with chicken lemon piccata, pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, mostaccioli, steamed broccoli, garden salad and rolls - and all of our guests raved over the food. I love how the event space has a separate area for the buffet that has sliding barn doors that open when food is ready. Our servers - Holly and John were incredible - friendly and personable, attentive and very professional. Most importantly, everyone had a great time and it was a memorable event thank to The Canopy! They are a hidden gem, but not for long. I give them 5++++ stars, and highly recommend!

Me and my girlfriend brought our dogs to label yesterday on their leashes and wanted to sit on the patio. They turned us away for service so we went over to the canopy lounge and the waitress was super amazing. She brought a water dish out for our dogs and was really awesome. The service was fabulous

Our neighborhood dinner meeting was scheduled for April at the Canopy Restaurant in Brighton Michigan.
The banquet room was beautifully designed. The chair coverings, table service was elegant.
The wait staff was knowledgeable and very willing to accommodate. The food and drinks were superb. Our dinner group was incredibly impressed leaving many very nice comments. We definitely would recommend The Canopy to anyone who prefers a good meal.
We had our father's funeral luncheon last week here. Food was excellent, service was outstanding. We would hold any other event we may have there. Thanks to all, especially Charles, Steve and Brandy for making this easy for us during this difficult time. The Buck's

I was invited to open my Iftar at canopy lounge on march 15th. It was the worst experience ever, the host that invited me booked out a certain amount of tables yet the owner was letting walk in guests sit on the reserved tables which left me with nowhere to sit. When I needed to wash my hands and enter the bathroom the owner of the restaurant yelled at me saying âBATHROOM IS CLOSED GET OUT OF THIS AREA!â Later I had heard that someone had left poop on the floor of the bathroom. When I was waiting in line for food I had seen things Iâve never seen in any restaurant before, ladies who were not part of the hosts Iftar were throwing drinks on the reserved tables, walk in guests were fist fighting with invited guests for tables. Onto the food aspect of the night, the trays of food were not being refilled for more than 20 minutes at a time and on top of that there was no plates to even put my food in. To finish this off this was hands down the worst experience Iâve ever had at ANY restaurant, I do not recommend that anyone comes in for the food or hosts their events there.

It was our first time and we had an amazing experience! The gentleman hostess was as sweet as can be, our waiter made us feel at home and top tier, he knew the menu line the back of his hand. I got the duck but instead of rice I got mash potatoes and everything was so delicious. My fiancé got the steak with crumble blue cheese on top and he was very satisfied with every bite. Our experience was top notch and we can't wait to come back!
