Ignore menu's posted on line. Those are old.We went to Jack's for breakfast and were handed a single sided sheet of paper with about 6 or 7 items to choose from. I thought it was strange that they only offered eggs scrambled until I got my order a long wait later. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich. The bacon had good flavor but was under cooked. The Sausage looked well done, but was frozen in the middle. They use frozen, pre-cooked sausage and scrambled eggs. The cheese is processed cheese food. The waitress was very nice and said she would take it off the bill. She asked if I wanted anything else. Ummm...NO.

Just to start, I work at a restaurant so this review is hard to write.The food was sub par at best, whitefish sandwich on a dry bun, nachos completely inedible and the Ruben wasn’t even cooked. We were charged double for a domestic beer(see pictures for reference) as locals we will never be eating here again. All around terrible experience!

I was honestly surprised that meals for 4 people with 3 waters cost $62 before tax. I had been following your story since you reopened and excited to try the pub under new owners. While my kids loved their food, my husband and I were not impressed. What a bummer. The cherry salad for $13 should have come with chicken. Not $3 more for small dry grilled chicken. The menus posted on the website are that of the old owners as, putine is no longer on the menu. It is mainly a Panini restaurant with a bar now. Prices are much higher than before. On Tuesday we were in Petoskey and paid less for two burgers on pretzel buns. On Wednesday we were at Jacks grub and pub. The specials were not made available to us at all. The service was alright however we Probably will not be back because of the new impression of the new food choices, prices and lack of specials made available. (Nothing posted or shared until after the fact)

Tomato basil soup was Very salty, my MI salad was good, we also got a Caesar salad which had way to much dressing n we had chicken on it that had a hint of fish taste, had an order of bread sticks n the cheese/beer sauce that had very little taste. Brought home a chicken finger meal n that chicken also had a fish taste.We use to do breakfast there a lot so even though the lunch/dinner food was ? I will still give the breakfast a try.

Love this place when I'm working in brimley I always make the mistake and stop here for lunch and then I don't want to go back to work because my belly's too full and I need a nap ?? ? great food

The food was okay but we felt that were over charged and to pay for individual food didn't seem right. I felt that I didn't need to tip a waitress. It probably be a long time coming back.

The olive burger I had was half cooked and fries were cold when I got it, wasn’t happy , no flavor whatsoever, fed it to my dog! Won’t go again

I had the 3-piece whitefish dinner thinking that I never get enough fish...silly me! 3, large pieces of VERY tasty whitefish, well prepared and great fries. I took one piece home. My wife enjoyed her omelet but was a bit envious! Friendly and efficient server and overall, very good experience!
