my family and I went on a trip to the UP and stopped here on the way home so i could bring home some fresh whitefish. i bought ten lbs and these people were amazing. They gave me some foam coolers and loaded them w ice so my fish would stay fresh on my long ride home. Great people and the fish always amazing. Only wish I lived closer!

We drove from Paradise to the cafe and we were very pleased. Fresh fish out of the lake and cooked to perfection. And very reasonably priced. The owners and staff were so kind and friendly. I thought we might move up here from Texas to be closer to their cafe! If you are in the Upper Peninsula go see them. Highly Recommended!

I Love this place.... Small but WONDERFUL fish (fresh , cooked or smoked). I purchase as much as I can take home in RV freezer. They have small, medium and large fillets. The $$$. PRICE $$$. cannot be beat. AND. Their Maple cured smoked fish is a DELICACY . Friendly, happy good folks. If I could I'd purchase a fish basket right now !!!! I had perhaps 8 whitefish sandwiches and two whitefish dinners. Lathrop beats them all for overall quality.

I am kind of disappointed that this place doesn't exist on any of the "Best of Michigan" lists that we read before traveling through the state. We only found it by chance as we were driving from Brimley State Park to the Shipwreck Museum. This is a bare bones kind of place, but the fish was amazing. We bought some to cook up at the campfire and some smoked to take with us, but we ate it all right away. Plus it was a great price.

Good selection of fresh caught fish. They can cook what you want and they have smoked when possible.
