I stopped in to check out this place after a lengthy travel. By the time I got there the kitchen was closed. So I ordered a beer. The bartender Stephanie came with my beer and told me they would open the kitchen for me so I could eat since I was hungry. I asked what they were known for. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of fries. I tell you what the fish tacos made with white fish were some of the best I've ate. The fries were like the famous Rally's seasoned fries that everyone likes. Staff and Patrons made me feel right at home. Men's room is clean and the bar has a few decks overlooking Lake superior. Overall I am glad I chose Pickles Bar-n-Grill. Next time im in the U.P. I'll be back here again next time i travel from central Nebraska.

We had the poutine, french onion soup, fish tacos,double smash burger, tots, chips, drinks. EVERYTHING was tasty, hot and fresh. Just be warned - servings are huge. We could've split every entree. I forgot how much I love french onion soup. Well worth your hard earned dollars. This restaurant is on my favorites list now for the next time through this area. Service was outstanding too! Attentive but unobtrusive. Then entrance to the restaurant can be easily missed - The place is hidden behind trees, but right on the water for the views.

My husband and I found this place when we were driving to a lighthouse. It was pouring down rain and there was no way we were going to be walking any trails or sight seeing outside. It was such a great place, great prices, great food and great atmosphere! Very friendly staff too!

If I could give this place a negative star rating, I would. It has completely gone downhill • The back porch looks like it’s one step away from collapsing. • Trash is scattered everywhere. • The dock is a full-blown safety hazard. • The entire place feels filthy, like an OSHA inspector’s worst nightmare.
This is the third time I’ve given it a chance, only to sit for 20 minutes without a single waitress acknowledging our group. Save yourself the time and frustration, go somewhere else.
