Well, this was the first time we stopped and most likely the last. The waitress was great. She was polite and attentive. Drinks and food were served quickly. But, the food….. the food was bad. The whitefish on the sandwich and in the tacos was overcooked in what must have been rancid oil. The outside was dark brown not golden. The fish tasted very fishy. The soft tortillas were not soft but tasted on the stale side. The french fries were similarly cooked like the fish. This was the first time I can remember not eating a meal of fish tacos. My wife and I left very disappointed. On top of that the bill was $44.00 plus a tip. The menu says “fresh whitefish” Sure didn’t seem fresh. Live and learn I guess

Nothing beat the Big Dill! Even my grandkids discussed today “would you rather have McDonalds for the rest of your life or Pickels….PICKLES” coming from 6, 8 & 9 year old.

Apr 2025 Update: Stopped by for our first visit of the year. The food was great, as always, but it was nice to see that the interior has been spruced up over the winter. Our server said that the brother of the prior owner has taken over and is in the process of applying a makeover. It didn’t bother us, we don’t come here for the decor, but I know the condition on the facility was a problem for some people. The server said the outdoor deck will be fixed up soon too.

Stopped quickly to grab food and it was one of a few available options late. The burgers were really good! Will be back to enjoy the deck on our next visit!
Nice little rustic bar, great food and friendly service! Food came out fast and the whitefish tacos and sandwich were fantastic. They were kind enough to sub the fried fish for blackened on my wife's tacos and she absolutely loved them. Nice and light and very flavorful. Also a delicious bloody mary.

It was a blast here! We went in and introduced ourselves to the bartender right off. I asked him what was good and he said he made a pretty good Bloody Mary. I told him a story about how I couldn't have vodka but had another version of the famous "Bloody Mary" called a "Bloody Maria" He became quite interested because, after all he is a "bartender"...part time I might add. So I proceeded to tell him what I learned, at one of my favorite eateries, about the "Bloody Maria" It is simply replacing the vodka with....Tequila!!! Keith...our bartender made me a Bloody Maria and it was worthy!!! We had a lot of laughs at Pickles...it was so fun and Keith was a fun sport!

I had been wanting to try this place for quite a while. My son and his girlfriend took me for dinner when I was visiting for mother's day. I had been told the fish was excellent. That was not a lie. I had tha fish tacos and my son ordered the fish bites and his girlfriend had the smelt basket. We shared and everything was so darn good. I wish I lived close by because I would go there often. If you do stop in, try the fish it's really good. And our waitress was a charming young lady and she took really good care of us. I will definitely be back. Thanks Pickles for some of the best fish I have ever eaten. / Well fast forward to sep. 16th 2024. I went with three others for dinner. I realize that the Kitchen closes at 8. We made our orders before seven thirty. We ordered fast cooking chicken tenders a burger and an order of fish bites.after watching a lot of food walk past and an hour and a half later and three visits from the waitress apologizing about the wait, and not one thing being brought to our table, except our drinks, we left. And because it was nine o clock, nothing else was open. So We went back to the Soo with out dinner. And because they lost power earlier, nothing was open there either. No supper. Why Pickles ?? Why?
