8/8/20 drove out there and there was a sign saying they were closed for the summer
I have always loved the fish at Wilcox fish house better than anywhere else. The best tasteing fish ever.
I am so happy to see them open again. Last year when we made the trip to the UP, they were closed because of a death in the family. We stop there every summer for some great White Fish caught fresh out of Lake Superior. Wonder fish, and friendly home town feel. Cant wait to go back.
Closed this summer.
CLOSED! June 27, 2019, signs read: "We will not be open this summer. Sorry."
Love the White Fish
A great place to go for a fish dinner
Great little restaurant. Worth the drive.
Love this place small casual place with Great Fish dinners and great Service and real decent prices with large portions
There's a reason there is never anyone in the parking lot. It's more of a small-town friendship thing- if you are a regular, you don't really care what the food tastes like, and just go because you are a loyal patron. If you are just passing through, however, head to Pete's in Brimley- they have wonderful service, great fish on Friday night, and a very cozy atmosphere.

Super good hidden jem. A must have when in the U.P
Limited menu, fish was ok. No healthy food available, just fried.
Always great food, we go to Wilcoxs every time we come to the UP.
Stumbled upon this place years ago on our UP vacation. Was surprised to see a 40 min wait in the middle of nowhere on the weeknight. It was worth it! The best white fish we had! Ever! Prepared in all sorts of different ways, and every single one was tasty. I would put it in the rank of local attractions :)
We came across this restaurant by chance. They offer a good selection of fresh fish, but the big "wow effect" remains. In the (unfortunately only lukewarm) Whitefish Chowder, which we had as a starter, we could not find any piece of fish.
