Ok, went early (430p) and were sat in the bar area (booth) with my wife. We went to celebrate her birthday and a reservation was made. The host didn't look at the reservation, simply sat us right away. OK, no problem. I had never been there before and did not know about the bar seating vs dining room seating. While ordering, people came into the bar area with open toes shoes, tee shirts, shorts; it was more of a relaxed vibe than I'd like to have while celebrating a birthday. We had a very nice woman serve us (we believe she was the bartender). A side door was opened a few times where someone was smoking a cigar and later cigarette smokers, again not the kind of atmosphere I'd like for a birthday meal. Food was good, 3.5 stars, no real complaints there. Overall, I was not happy with the seating and lack of choice for moving, the smoking room (outdoor seating), and the overall price was more for a 4-5 star restaurant. I found it a bit pricey for appitizer, 2 steaks, sides, and desert (no alcohol). Lastly, it was for my wife's birthday and I put that info on the reservation but there was no acknowledgement after dinner. I was a bit bummed.

We went on Valentine's Day, and it was good very tight to walk through to get to your table. Love the wine specials. However toward 9pm they were allowing people to come in not dressed in business casual. So we thought it was crazy but overall the food was good. I'll dine again.

Food and service were amazing! It was very busy for Valentine's Day but never felt like we were overlooked. Had an issue with a glass and the manager insisted on comping our drinks and dessert! Above and beyond! Would definitely visit again.

Went there on valentines day, one of the best Prime Rib ever! We were also surprised with the appetizer, sesame crusted Ahi Tuna, it tastes fresh! Service was superb.

Celebrated a friend's birthday. Chicago Prime never disappoints. Food and service is consistently awesome. Jeremy an Isan were excellent servers. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

New Year's Eve menu more limited than what we were told. Many of the items we ordered were extremely salty. Overall, not what we expected for the high prices charged. We've decided we won't be going back.

Chicago Prime steaks are excellent and are offered with a choice of tasty surfaces. I took peppercorn. I think the New York strip might be the tastiest I ever had. The three other adults at the table agreed the food was delicious. Two issues: The space between tables was too narrow. Both servers and guests kept bumping the back of my chair. In other words, the loaded baked potato is not the only thing stuffed at Chicago Prime. Second, one person at our table ordered crab legs. The menu said "market price." When the bill came, it was $255 for the crabs alone. The server should have warned us about the price when ordering. We thought a figure like $80 and more should prompt a warning. Kind of left a bad taste after a good, but costly, New Year's Eve dinner.

We loved everything from service to food. A great place for celebrating or special events and also for a quiet delicious meal. I was most impressed at the time spacing between court. We never felt rushed.
We celebrated Christmas here. The food was delicious. Everyone was very welcoming, polite, and attentive. We had a very minor misses with items ordered, but the staff was on top of it as soon as we mentioned it. Overall a lovely meal and time.

Chicago Prime Steakhouse was the perfect choice for our Christmas meal! Our food was delicious especially the prime rib, the escargot and cherries flambé. Ayse, our server, was very attentive, polite and helpful! We'll be back!

We did have to wait, but other folks just were not leaving their tables...heck, it was Christmas Eve. I get it. The service we received from Asya made all the difference. She couldn't have done anything better! Also, the food was spectacular as usual!

40min wait with reservations but it was Christmas Eve so that's ok. Steak 1 out of 3 cooked perfectly but it was so busy did not want to take the chance of waiting longer. They were so tasty we were able to forgive. Ambience was beautiful and the booth was great. Waitress was SUPER SWEET.
