Service is amazing

Participated in a private event (~3 dozen) in the banquet hall. They offered our group a limited, mouth-watering menu of nice variety & provided great service. (A few orders seemed to come out of the kitchen in reverse order of how they were placed, but all were delivered hot & fresh, and our entire group was fully served within 8-10 minutes.) Everyone enjoyed their meal! This was a nice & convenient location for our event. The fall colors on the golf course were so pretty. The great room here is bright & welcoming. And the banquet room can accommodate a large capacity.

A suggestion more than anything. I wish the Chef Salad or dinner salad, you could get with Iceberg lettuce verses the dark green, no crunch that is used.
A few croutons would be nice also. A lot of times I want a good salad but don't care for what you have as lettuce. For the price of the Chef Salad, it would be nice to have a choice of Crisp Iceberg Lettuce.

Held a celebration of life here and the entire staff did a great job. Fairly priced and good food. They offer ways to personalize things which many of my guest enjoyed. The newer owners have done some upgrades to the building and golf course.

Golf course has always been one of my favorite for the last 50 years. For the last month you can play nine holes faster than you can get your food. Hope things change.

I am pleased with the environment and atmosphere here. The service was fast and efficient. I felt very welcomed by the staff, other than the manager on duty at the time. His name is Clayton. I came in twice in one week and felt extremely uncomfortable. Both times he came and sat at a table next to me and stared at me. He even followed me to the door when I was leaving and watched me from the window as I walked to my car. I’m not sure if it was because I was the only person of color in the establishment but I will not be coming back. Also, I know a few of the employees at the restaurant and they told me he threatened to fire them because they talked to me “too much.” He seems very arrogant and unprofessional. Besides that manager Clayton, I do highly recommend the food and drinks at Clark Lake Restaurant and bar. I’ve been there many times before he started working here and never felt this way.

Golf course was fine for the price. You get what you pay for. Bad experience at the 19th hole. Just had a couple of beers after the round. Gave the Bartender my debit card to pay the bill, she comes back 20 minutes later without a slip to sign or my debit card and she insisted that she already returned the card and slip. She probably accidentally gave it to another patron which I understand that mistakes happen but she never apologized and kept insisting that she brought it because she said she doesn’t make mistakes. She actually seemed either a little buzzed or high and wouldn’t take any blame or apologize for a mistake. I would have been fine if she said I’m sorry I don’t know what happened. Had to cancel card now and go through the pain of changing any debit ach. Sorry could have gone a long way.

Nice place. Burgers well a bit overdone but had great flavor.

They have some of the best salads in the county. Their buffalo chicken salad is excellent.
