Big Bear Lodge Reviews
We had great service tonight and a wonderful dinner. We love the atmosphere & the festive decorations. We can't wait to come back.
The food was absolutely amazing! I’ve had a lot of prime rib and I’m not even exaggerating when I say this is probably the best prime rib that I’ve ever had. I shared your page with my 30,000+ followers as well. Very happy with the experience all-around.
I would not recommend bbq. I ordered the combo with bbq sauce on the side. both the chicken and the ribs were flavorless on their own. The chicken had a manufactured texture to it and the ribs were super thick and dry. I do appreciate a meaty rib, but not at the cost of texture and flavor. Also, it annoyed me that I couldn't get a side salad without an upcharge. I really did want a potato or defrosted/steamed vegetables.

Big Bear Lodge offers a unique and inviting atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. The decor features rustic cabin themes, including taxidermy and memorabilia from hunting and fishing cabins of the 1950s and 1960s, which adds to its charm but may not appeal to everyone. The food is delicious, with tasty options for meat-eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians. Buffalo meatloaf or burger are served here, and they are wonderful. The restaurant's buffet options are impressive, with standout breakfast dishes like biscuits and gravy. The food is hot, fulfilling, and consistently praised for its quality. Parking is available in a large lot, though it may involve a walk if the restaurant is busy. The place is kid-friendly, with a fun atmosphere, though some children might be wary of the taxidermy. Overall, Big Bear Lodge is known for its great food and memorable experience.
