As always everything was outstanding. My out-of-town guest loved the area, the food and the lovely view down to the river and covered bridge. I had requested Maya for our service and she was excellent. Thank you for allowing me choose her. Our only negative (hence 4 stars) was the noise level. A table not too far away was so noisy we had to almost yell to hear each other. Of course, the louder others become the louder everything becomes. That is absolutely my only complaint.

Wow! Talk about a hidden gem. We happened on Trovato while perusing Open Table for a nice place to eat near Mackinaw City. We were amazed as we turned into the at the beauty of Hidden River Golf & Casting Club. Once inside, the facility was just as beautiful, overlooking the Hidden River and the 18th green. The food was amazing, Chef Dean's specials were spectacular. And the desert options were incredible. We will make a point to visit every time we are in the area.
Beautiful setting and very good food overall. Unfortunately like so many other places in this part of Michigan, this restaurant is facing staffing issues - which impacted the food (not warm) and speed of service. We also got mosquito bitten and suggested that they install some candles or find some other ways to minimize the inconvenience. But overall, this place has a lot of potential. I'd go back.

Staff were exceptional, greeting, wait staff and management. They all worked very well together to insure we had a wonderful dinning experience. The food was excellent, timing of the courses brought to the table and the presentation were well thought out. The ambience and the view of the river.... Exquisite!! We will be back and will share our experience with friends.

Website said happy hour 3-5. Missed that ,so we went to get dinner. We heard it was fantastic… closed when we got there. Got to do better than that. Friday night in Northern Michigan ?? We’re local. Open up!

Had a wonderful dinner and cocktail this summer. Highly recommend the Limoncello Spritz, Bruschetta, and the Chicken Piccata! Tiramisu was delicious too.
Parking: Parking is shared with golfers so can be tight if the course is busy.

We had the best dinner! Everything was amazing. The food was amazing and we can’t wait to go back. Our server was the most responsive and the most efficient we’ve had in a while! I would highly recommend!
We are frequent diners to Trovato. This time we brought 8 of our friends which they thoroughly enjoyed. Nathan served us (outstanding) as we enjoyed cocktails and Brushetta. All diners were served hot and were delicious! Thank you for an outstanding dining experience.

A beautiful set up overlooking the river. Unfortunately, they are no longer doing a lunch down on the patio which we greatly miss. So instead of lunch, my granddaughter and I watched a deer playing in the water for about 20 minutes. Went back for a family dinner which was very good but they could do a better job to make it kid friendly as well as have a kids menu. Very polite and friendly staff.

Hands down best meal we have had this summer! Great wine at a reasonable price. Apps, entrees, & desserts were spectacular! Our new favorite place in Northern Michigan!!! Thank you Chef Dean for a exciting menu, excellent training of staff, & quality ingredients!
