Waitress named Sara that was waiting our table stole a wallet that was left in our booth. We left and came back for the wallet not even 10 minutes later .. The Second shift female manager was really rude about helping us wouldn’t let us in and threatened to call the police on me if I came in about the wallet without the police. We called Burton police and they showed the officers the video. The officer told us the waitress turned her back towards the camera and leaned down and picked up a straw wrapper off the floor but her body was positioned so he couldn’t tell if she was grabbing anything off the seat. If you’re a skilled thief I’m pretty sure picking up the straw wrapper on camera was the cover up because their was a bus boy already cleaning and sweeping the floor under our table as we were getting up to leave. We had to cancel and block all the cards because someone was trying to charge all the cards the next morning. I think the manager is in cahoots I’m sure they split up the 450 dollars cash from the wallet. I Went back a few months later for a lunch meeting and the waitress still works there, the female manager during this visit was the same one from the wallet incident and still rude and the food is still meh 🫤.

I was sat at a booth in the bar area as a single diner. The host was kind and I was quick to be seated, the restaurant wasn’t very busy at all. Most tables already had their food or orders taken, and multiple were getting ready to leave. I noticed multiple other people arriving, being sat, and having a server at their table in 2 minutes or less. I sat in my booth waiting for 10 minutes before waving the host down and asking where my server was, and he said he would go grab them. I then noticed him speaking with a table of servers who were sitting down eating, while the bartender went to attend to another booth with two men that had JUST been sat in the bar area right behind where I was sitting. I got up and left.
I understand busy times, being shortstaffed, and staff requiring a break. However, to sit waiting to even get a water for 10 minutes with NO servers even acknowledging I was there was insulting, especially seeing as the restaurant wasn’t not remotely busy. I rarely give bad reviews, and I have never had an issue at this location previously, but I’m gonna go ahead and stick with one of the other area options from now on. This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I’m giving it a 3 star because we had a good waitress, the environment was clean and friendly plus my 🍹 was nice. My daughter and I ordered the beef nachos and the presentation was trash, literally awful. Looked like a 5 year old prepared our meal, I was actually shocked they sent it out the kitchen. I wish I would’ve taken a picture…😒

I left because no one said a word to me for ten minutes and there were less than ten people in the restaurant. I worked at an applebee's, for ten years and to have a hostess and servers stare at you and not even offer to get you a drink is beyond wild to me. I called the restaurant while i was still in the parking lot for the manager To say we've been looking for you.I sat in the parking lot for 5 mins and no one came near the door. They did offer for me to come back and she said, be spoiled, but at this point, why would I come back? It was the first time Ive ever been to that applebess and I'll never go back. Signed, I'm still hungry
