My wife bought my birthday cake from them last year, no issues at all. Loved the cake, they even added a cute shark on top.
Unfortunately, both my wife and I’s birthdays fall the same week as Christmas. I called to place an order for my wife’s birthday, and the lady who answered the phone wasn’t very helpful.
I was able to get the cake ordered, but only after being interrupted multiple times. She told me we only do Christmas cakes during that week. Which that’s fine, I’ll just order somewhere else. After she spoke with someone higher up, she said we could do a simple cake. She tried rushing me off the phone. She didn’t ask a size till I mentioned it, and she didn’t even ask me what frosting I wanted.
Overall the whole ordering process was not great, compared to the last time. I understand how unfortunate it is that my wife’s birthday falls on Christmas Eve, but I’m still a paying customer. I should be treated like one, and not talked over and not asked any questions.
I’m sure the cake will taste great like it has in the past, but it was extremely frustrating how I was spoken to while trying to place an order.

Diane was amazing! We decided to have a small cake to cut at our wedding and she made it happen in a few days and the best part was how kind she was! The cake was simple and exactly what we wanted. It was so good and! Thank you Diane for helping make our day the perfect day 😊

I honestly went back and forth on if I was going to post a review, but it’s been almost a week and I’m still just as annoyed so! My boyfriend ordered a chocolate chip cookie cake from here for my birthday. Due to the coincidence of Taylor Swift releasing an album that day I wanted it to be themed for her new album. My boyfriend had a few inspo photos he showed the shop and the employee was very excited by the idea! Her eagerness for the challenge made him decide to order here! I’ve attached reference photos for the overall “inspo” for the cookie cake (the second photo I circled the frosting I wanted around the edge) and I’ve attached the only photo I got of the real cookie cake which if you aren’t able to tell is colored in hunter orange and a dark green?? I honestly was a good sport and thought it was funny how bad it was until I cut into that bad boy and it was a SUGAR COOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!! And the most dry one at that!!! It was the ultimate betrayal! So now I need to warn all chocolate chip cookie lovers this is NOT the place for you!

Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter over the weekend, drove 7 hours from the upper peninsula and was not disappointed! The cake was delicious! We got the buttercream frosting, not too sweet and not grainy at all. The design of the cake was beautiful it really reflected that the baker put a lot of effort into making it fit the theme. I really appreciate you guys for doing such an amazing job!

I got gluten free cupcakes and was very disappointed with the cakes. They were very dry tasting. It's like they made them a long time ago then froze them. The frosting was very good, but the cake was not moist at all. Very friendly people there. I hope they can make the cupcakes fresh daily

I absolutely love visiting sweet afterthoughts. They always have things made fresh daily. I usually stop in with my son on random occasions and get a few cake pops or chocolate-covered oreos. Their banana bread is also to die for. I also appreciate that you can special order some without the nuts as I love banana bread but can never find somewhere that makes it without

Stopped in after going to the children's resale shop next door. The lady helping me was so sweet to my 3 year old and was patient while she told her what she wanted. The cupcakes and haystacks were amazing! They had a good variety of different treats.
