I had the Olive Burger. It was great! They sure do love olive burgers around the parts. If you are not familiar, it's a ground beef hamburger topped with olive relish and other accoutrements, which vary from restaurant to restaurant. My friend got a really big pretzel. It came served on a hook. Like a banana hook that some people have, but don't need. He said it was too salty. I do not believe that there can be too much salt on a pretzel.

Don’t order food to go from here. I work down the road and need to bring it back to my office so for a blt they charged me $18 because I got it to go! What a rip that I have to pay more than anyone else because I cannot eat it in the restaurant! Also fries were COLD so why am I paying extra??What a shame. Whoever was working the bar was extremely dismissive even the people at the bar agreed with me and said it’s insane. I’ll get my blt’s from Byron family restaurant from now on.
Our waiter was an older gentleman and he was phenomenal, wish I could remember his name

I’ve never been to Pete’s, but got a notification that I left a bad review a day ago. I’m assuming someone is signed in under my email address. Updating to 5 stars because Pete’s is a staple of Byron Center!

A great local bar and grill vibe. Ricardo was a great server and the environment was good, didn’t feel hectic but a good place to have a beer and get some good grub. The beer selection was modest but very well priced. We got their pretzel and it was delicious, way above average. The sauces were middling but the pretzel itself was great. Overall a good place to chat as well, they’re are TVs but not so many that it’s impossible to focus on the people you’re with.

This should be a go to for anyone in Byron Center, passing through on 131 or 6 and 96, or shipping at the outlet. Easily worth the short drive from GR also. Top notch food. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. When we went there was even a guy running theme song bingo and some music trivia which was free and a blast. Please go here. You will not be disappointed.

Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. So juicy and cooked to order. Toppings were super fresh too. I had the basic cheeseburger and my husband had the olive burger. Fries were absolutely fantastic too. Service was super fast and friends too. We will definitely return!

Place was packed, and the service was still good. Food was good as well, despite the fact the kitchen must have been crazy busy.

“Best Chicken Sandwich in Town!”
I stopped by Pete’s Grill & tavern on a whim and left absolutely impressed. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming—perfect for grabbing a drink after work or catching the game with friends. But let’s talk about the real star: the chicken sandwich.
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned, it’s easily one of the best I’ve had. Served on a toasted pretzel bun with fresh toppings and just the right amount of sauce, it strikes the perfect balance between comfort food and elevated bar fare. The fries were hot and crispy too—no soggy sides here.
My party also got fish and chips…perfect crunch!
Service was fast and friendly, and prices are reasonable for the quality you get. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is worth a stop—especially if you’re craving a killer chicken sandwich.
We love their burgers and loaded taco salad. The food was great, but the service was very slow.
Great Reuban and onion rings. Big servings ! Takeout box was needed.
Lots of people, bar food, very loud. They have lots of games and fun activities. If you are looking for a quiet place to talk with friends, this is not it.
No dress code, you can probably eat shirtless and barefoot or pajamas and curlers. Lol
