Charged me for two people just because my fiancé came in with me. It was take out we did not dine in what should have been maybe $8-$10 was $18 did not even think about it until he said something cause he paid I didn’t think they would do that since I’ve never had that problem but it was confirmed by the 2 forks and 2 fortune cookies they snuck in the bag. So we paid for two people for an extra fork and fortune cookie. Yes I should have paid more attention but they should not be doing that in the first place.

It was really good for a buffet.

I LOVE the food but HATE eating here! The energy of the staff is NOT calming and comforting! There is staff constantly running around the restaurant cleaning everything, like there was just a diarrhea explosion and they are desperately cleaning it up before anyone notices. Cleaning rapidly, urgently-- even areas that should already be clean, like the tables in the back where they aren't seating people. Even the restroom was slippery from recent mopping and the janitor was waiting outside the bathroom ready to mop again.

I suspect maybe management requires them to be constantly moving and doing something, or else they'll be fired. They seem desperate to look busy. When the restaurant isn't very busy, I would much rather see the staff calmly relaxing so I can feel relaxed, and also feel they are ready to attend to my needs.

It's a buffet with many saucy foods, but they won't offer any napkins except the one little napkin they wrap the silverware in. If you want more you have to ask for them or get up and help yourself, as the staff is not focused on the right things. Everyone will need more napkins, especially kids. But I don't want staff handing me napkins if they were just wiping a table with cleaning chemicals.

Staff is WAAAYYYY too aggressive about removing your plate from the table. As soon as your eating starts to slow down, they are trying to take away your plate. NO!!!! I like to finish slowly, and I don't want you interrupting my meal so many times to ask for my plate! I will push my plate away from me when I am done with it, or I will get up for more food. Those are the signs that it's time to take the plate. You won't have to ask, you will know I'm done. Until then, stay away, and let me enjoy my meal uninterrupted! Removing a plate from a table is never urgent. But interrupting someone's conversation repeatedly because you're eager to clean up is very intrusive and annoying.

Lastly, canned sodas? WTF? The pleasure of a buffet is free choice, and all the refills you can stomach. Set up a basic soda fountain like every other restaurant, plus iced tea, and keep the refills coming! You want to run around looking busy? Keep people's drinks filled. Soda syrups are cheap and even unlimited refills create profit. But, better yet, they create happy customers. I only get water now because I'm not paying premium prices to ration a small beverage from a can like I'm on the go. Any dine-in restaurant should have cups, straws, ice, and a soda fountain. Exceptions only for specialty beverages that are exclusively available in bottles or cans.

I came to Great Wall because it's cheaper than the other Asian Buffet, but I would possibly pay more to avoid the behavior of this restaurant's staff. I would recommend they study USA restaurant customer service standards and try to improve. For all their good intentions, they are not creating the right energy and atmosphere for an enjoyable dining experience. Being polite and clean isn't enough. It requires genuine courtesy and situational awareness. Staff is drawing attention to themselves rather than operating seamlessly, invisibly, allowing customers to connect with their companions. I don't like leaving a restaurant feeling annoyed, but this is happening consistently with Great Wall.

Very nice Chinese buffet restaurant. Very tasty food and as per usual the desserts are more savory because that's a Chinese thing. If you're looking for a sweet desserts this is not the place to go. As a culture they prefer savory desserts compared to Sweet desserts. A good compliments to their deserts because they are a savory is not too sweet.

Ordered shrimp fried rice, egg rolls and a combo of chicken chow mein noodles. The rice was excellent but the chow mein was the wet mess of just onion and carrot, when I called to mention it the lady that answered the phone was incredibly rude and saying we ordered wrong. Probably won't go back

Our server was a young Chinese lady who needs more training. She continually reached in front of our faces to take empty plates and to refill water, instead of walking around to do it. She also started to take my plate away with food on it without asking me first if I was done, while I was sitting right there.
