What a find! This spot offers quick service and great food, making it an ideal lunch stop with tables inside. I went on back-to-back days and was thoroughly impressed by the consistency. I highly recommend their signature item: the pasties! I enjoyed the beef pasty with gravy and the chicken pasty with gravy—both were excellent. Be sure to try adding sour cream! The baked goods, like the cookies and the cinnamon twist roll, are super. Plus, you can even order frozen pasties...
If you're craving a truly authentic, high-quality Michigan pasty, look no further than Mr. Foisie's. I can confidently say that these pasties are the best around, hands down, and even rival (or surpass!) some of the famed shops in the Upper Peninsula. We make sure to stop here every time we come through Cadillac and grab two dozen to take home and freezethey're just that good.
Authentic U.P. pasties, pretty far south! Tasty, filling, and juicy – not dry. Their dough is nice and pillowy and it's crimped at the top rather than the side which gives a nice crusty bite while keeping it easy to cut into. As they were closing up shop I could tell they were in a rush and were having some issues with their card scanner... But they went above and beyond with kindness. I'll be back next time I'm headed up north!
