UPDATE- I tried it again. The staff is still amazing . Heather was friendly and able to grab my order right away even though they were short staffed. This time the crust was just like I remember from other locations. Toppings were awesome. We had the 6 mile and the Detroit Zoo. Both were excellent! We also ordered a Greek salad which was teaming with toppings! I’m soooo glad to have Buddy’s nearby in Canton so I don’t have to go to Livonia ?

I have been a fan of buddys pizza since the 6 mile and Conant days. I recently moved to Westland and was excited to learn that a new location was going to be in Canton. When I visited the location, the restaurant was clear clean and the remarkable associate John made my day. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and Kept a smile on his face while assisting me I will be back

Should have read the reviews instead of trusting word of mouth. It seems it's pretty common for them to "miss the mark"
This was my first experience with Buddy's and probably my last.
They don't offer a traditional pie with mozz, only their own style which is a matter of taste. It wasn't to my taste, but they're popular for a reason and I encourage people to try it out themselves
I ordered an 8 corner with bacon and red onions, my wife a gluten free(only available in a 4 corner size) cheese pizza, then buddy bread and an antipasto salad paying extra for beets.
First, this style of pizza is cheese on bread, sauce on top. Toppings buried under the cheese. This results in chewy bacon and undercooked onions. The crust was a bit rubbery. Had 2 slices and called it quits. It was enough that I wasn't hungry, but I'm not bothering with the 6 leftover slices. Similarly, the buddy bread was just ok.
The gluten free pie wasn't cut and was similarly disappointing. Immediate quote after the second bite: "cottage inn is better"(regarding gluten free crust)
The extra beets for the salad translated for 2 slices of beats for $1.50 extra. Not the best deal but it's pizza place salad so what can you really expect?
The staff was very friendly though, but that's all of a 90 second part of the experience. When the best part is before the first bite, I'll take my business elsewhere.

This location (Canton) sucks! My cheese bread looked like it wasn't even done! I'll continue with Livonia or Ann Arbor locations.

Ordered a pizza for pickup and then I was about 20 min late. I figured I'd pick up the pizzas and warm them up at home. But when I arrived, they hadn't even started the pizzas. I ended up waiting another 30 min for the pizzas and the manager had no explanation why the pizza was an hour late.
Buddy's Pizza is fantastic, but this location is a joke. Go to another location and steer clear of the Ford Rd Buddy's Pizza on Ford Rd in Canton, MI.

I ordered pizza for my family. Since Buddy's Pizza decided to contract with door dash instead of hire and pay their own drivers I never received my food. Buddy's charges premium prices. I expect premium experiences. I will not purchase Buddy's going forward. When I order pizza to be delivered it is because I had a hard day and my family is hungry. I can't count 100% on the pizza being delivered, I will not order it. So you lost a customer. Stop being cheap. Invest, in your staff.

Not like the other Buddy's locations. The crust on our pizza wasn't as good as it usually is, but the flavor for the pizza was still decent. The chicken tenders here were wilding disappointing - got tiny little pieces that were soggy, not flavorful, and mostly breading. And the ranch was not as good as Buddy's ranch usually is. Good in a pinch if you are crazy Detroit style pizza, but don't expect it to be like going to the Detroit or Ann Arbor locations.

I have to say, their Chicken Tenders and Fries are so good, like better than some other fastfood places/restaurants. The tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside, and the fries were seasoned just right. Ive gone there in the morning and late in the evening and the staff is always so welcoming and the food is always hot and perfect. Highly recommend!

Quick service, plenty of vegetarian options, vegan cheese is available, and if you never had Detroit Style Pizza, consider this the epitome of what it’s about. Crispy, thick, and loaded with cheese!
Vegetarian options: Offer Daiya brand vegan cheese and lots of veggies.
