Last night, my family and I went to the counter to place our order, but the person behind the register didn’t greet or acknowledge us. She seemed so unresponsive that I wondered if the store was closed and she was just cleaning up. Eventually, my husband managed to get her attention, but she appeared frustrated by our presence. When we asked if they were still open, she replied yes, but noted they would be closing soon. After this, she simply stared at us until my husband said, “I would like to order,” and gave his order. She took it with minimal interaction.
When we picked up our drink—a simple order—another woman had lined up behind us. I noticed that the barista ignored her as well and returned to her other tasks, even though it was clear the woman was waiting. By the time we left, six more people had joined the line, and I’m not sure whether they were assisted.
This kind of behavior seems to happen frequently at both the MI and Ford locations. I’m not sure what’s happening at the Canton Target Starbucks, but it’s important to acknowledge customers—it’s a basic job expectation. If you’re about to close and aren’t accepting more orders, please communicate that or close earlier instead of ignoring people. Failing to acknowledge customers is simply unacceptable. I hope this review inspire improvement.

I was shocked by how rude the staff was & the selection of bakery items that they had. I wanted either a bagel or muffin but they didn’t have either. The display of items was also incredibly bare.

When I wanted to pay, I opened my app to scan & get reward points but they said that wasn’t an option. That still doesn’t make sense to me but I thought maybe I could use my receipt & scan it afterwards. I didn’t realize until after they handed me my drink & my sandwich that they never gave me my receipt nor did they even ask me if I wanted one. I asked them for my receipt & they were ready to explain to me why I didn’t have the little paper attached to my drink before explaining that I needed the actual receipt. They printed it & handed it to me without saying another word.

The sandwich didn’t taste very good either.

Service way too slow. Every time I show up there is only one barista working.

There is always one person working at a time with a lot of people in line waiting to order. This has to stop!!

Target Starbucks on MI Avenue, Canton, doesn’t deserve to serve coffee. They serve premade coffee, charges same price and is just watery.
Let’s bring a well deserved store in replacement so that we commoners don’t get ripped off by these corporate giants…

I waited 24 minutes for a small coffee with only two customers in front of me. The two baristas were chatting with each other, with another target employee, discussing the schedules of their next break.

Horrible experience. There were four baristas behind the counter and it took 5 minutes for them to actually start making the drink. And when it came time to make it they asked each other who wanted to make it. I would understand this issue if it was very busy but i was the only customer in the store. Also forgot to mention that the barista who made the drink had no clue how to actually make it

Reese is the best & most rocking barista @ the Starbucks located within the Target on Mich Ave. in Canton, MI! It was a sincere pleasure to meet her. She was sporting this awesome light blue leopard print hair dye style & I complimented her on it & I even asked her if it would be okay for me to take a photo of her to share with my daughter, who I knew would love it. Reese kindly obliged & gave me my coffee order. Then, I got my Target shopping cart & I could not understand why they no longer had coffee cup holders. I was half awake because I did not have a cup of coffee before I left the house & I just kind of stood there staring at my cart trying to figure out where I was supposed to put my coffee cup. To my complete surprise & delight, Reese kindly walked over to me & brought a special coffee cup hook holder which slides onto the cart. She put it on my cart for me & told me that they keep a basket of them by the register for those who buy a coffee from Starbucks. This was all new to me & I really appreciated her loving kindness that she extended to me. You get what you give. You rock, Reese! Keep up the great work!
