I have dined here and ordered out. There are a few things that are good. Portions are great. Wonton soup could be better it’s not the best I ever had but it is also my favorite thing. So not having the little fried crackers with it like ever …. Is super annoying. I hate it. Other than that it’s decent.

Hands-down this is the BEST Chinese restaurant in southeast Michigan. They not only have delicious food, many selections to choose from, reasonable prices, great service, but the bathrooms are extremely clean and very nice too. Nice background music plays softly so very easy to hear and talk with the people you are there with. In addition, the staff is very friendly, professional and they wear masks to keep Covid risk minimal. Even though it takes us 30 minutes to get there, it is so worth the drive. We will be returning often.

Update: Feb. 2026: This place continues to be the BEST Chinese restaurant in SE Michigan. We have been to many Chinese restaurants all over the US/Canada. This place has consistently delicious, reasonably priced food, terrific service and is a real gem. We have NEVER had any mediocre food or service here. Tonight was just as incredible, and the waiter himself even put our leftovers into take-home boxes. We did not have to do it. I cannot recommend this place enough. What a classy, well-run place.

We usually order from Canton China but they are closed on Monday. Thought we would try Szechuan since we haven’t had it in a long time and reviews seemed decent. Big mistake, food was not good at all. Almond chicken was dry, chicken was stringy and tough, No taste to the General Tao chicken.. paid extra for the fried rice zero taste, hard and not one piece of vegetable in it.. The worst rice I ever tasted. Egg drop soup was the only good part of the whole experience. You don’t mind paying a little extra for good food, but this was not good food, save your money.

Absolute gem in Canton, I’ve been coming here for like 20 years now and it’s a smash hit every time. Incredibly kind management, great portions, delicious authentic Szechuan cuisine. Haven’t had any Chinese food even close to this level in the area. Highly recommend the lettuce wraps

This place is consistently excellent and the staff are so friendly and hardworking. We were there tonight on Christmas Eve and despite a full house, the kitchen was prompt and food delicious. Service was still outstanding even with a crowd. Highly recommend! One of our favorites!

Recent visit: Kung Pao beef was good- I ordered medium spicy but was very mild- Again, lukewarm - with a slice here and there hot- weird - Husbands almond chicken had hot steam rising off it- He tasted mine and thought it was lukewarm too- food should be served hot- I appreciate that the slices were thin and not chunks as it would have been difficult to chew- good flavor of sauce
This is our second time- I don’t think we will return- quite a drive for us and$20 lukewarm entree not appetizing- I see by the comments of the owner they would like you to say something when there is a problem But I don’t trust sending my food back to the kitchen to be heated up-

Previous visit:
we ordered general Tao, almond chicken, egg drop soup, hot sour soup, spring rolls-
Everything came out super fast- My husband really enjoyed the egg drop soup- hot sour was ok- It was lukewarm in temp and lacked the peppery sour taste I’m use to- For $5 I wasn’t impressed- The spring rolls were ok- Small and almost $3 not worth the price-

The entrees were on point- The best General Tao and by far the best almond chicken we’ve had in the metro Detroit area- BUT my GT was lukewarm— Nothing was hot like it had just been prepared and served-

Since ownership change, food prices went up ridiculously, service is not great, food is lukewarm, broccoli is cold, can’t get refills on drinks or water because servers are too busy, food spice not appropriate as per order (full strength is like mild). Today I dropped $150, but the total based on quality and service should have been $75. This is our 2nd time into the restaurant since the change with both times not as good as it was before. We will not come again which is disappointing because we have been coming for 30 years.
