We have been missing out on Indian food since many past weeks. Then we came to know about this place and damn, it was sooo sooo good! It’s very fortunate to get to eat such good Indian food in NZ. Especially the aloo paratha. I don’t remember if I’ve had such a good paratha even in India.

While most of the dishes we’ve tried have been pretty average, the dry chili chicken really stood out—it’s flavorful, well-prepared, and definitely worth trying. We’ve sampled a few other items, and while they haven’t wowed us, the food is decent overall.

Although they have moved, the high quality and amazing flavor has always been consistent. They have the best butter chicken and chole bhature in Canton for a great price! My visit to The Delhi Hut was frustrating. I ordered through doordash pickup for lunch at 1:49 PM, got a 'ready’ notification 20 minutes later, but when I arrived at 2:30 PM, the server asked for 10-15 more minutes. The kadai chicken was 6/10, and the mango lassi was overly sour, likely due to too much yogurt.
They make good food but like a true mom and pop operation, when they feel like it. I got a veg lunch box, smell was making me salivate the whole drive back to work. A huge roti with yummy kadai paneer, bit watery dal still tasty with good quantity of rice. All for $8. I have called them a few times after that, no response or the same menu for the veg box.

worst biryani I ever had…rice was not fresh and chicken pieces were so big that I doubted if its a chicken or something else. Veg biryani is just like peas and onion fried with yesterday’s left over rice, its very dry and no masala at all in both veg and chicken biryani. Will never recommend to anyone.
