Adair Bar Reviews
We just started going there. We love it .Chicken dinner is great. Service is very good. Friendly and quick.
We drove to Adair Bar with relatives because of a recommendation. We chose to sit outside as I have a service dog. She was in her gear and it was clear she was a working dog for a person with disabilities. The waitress came up and told me she would not serve me because of the dog. I explained my need of her and that did not matter, the dog had to go. I asked to speak to the owner/manager, and was denied. Adair Bar is a cozy neighborhood bar known for its delicious Perch dinners and Sunday-only Chicken Dinners, which have been enjoyed for years. The food is consistently good and worth a visit. The bar offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with a fire pit outside where customers can enjoy events like horseshoes tournaments. The menu features a variety of options, including burgers, white cheddar cheese curds, and fried butterfly shrimp baskets, along with nightly specials. The Perch and onion rings are popular choices, and the steamed shrimp are highly recommended. Many visitors praise the friendly staff, although service can sometimes be slow. It can be loud and busy, but that is typical for a bar. For those planning to visit, arriving early for the fish or chicken dinners is advised, as they are always worth it. The bar is a great spot for a Sunday drive and a satisfying meal, with options available for smaller appetites. The parking lot has faint lines and fills up during horseshoes, but there is usually space nearby. Kids are welcome, and the menu reflects this. The bar is wheelchair accessible, being all on one level. Visitors often find it to be as old school as it gets, with a piece of Detroit history tucked inside. Fish and chips on Friday are a must, and many look forward to the Sunday fried chicken dinners. Please note, this is a cash-only business, although an ATM is available inside.
