Stopped in for a late lunch while walking around town. Had a chicken sandwich, onion rings, bacon cheeseburger, and fries. All the food was great, the staff was friendly. We didn't feel rushed even though we were the end of their lunch shift.

This restaurant is a great place. Their food is excellent no matter what you order. The pictures the artwork on the walls and the history of the building. If you're not a regular customer they don't want you there. First time we ate in. They treated us poorly took their time and finally got around to us. Second visit wasn't any better. Decided to stop eating in and only get it to go. I called in the order. Went to pick it up. Server walked right by me never said a word served an eat in table their water. walked by me a second time grabbed a bus tub and cleared a table. I was fairly sure the bag sitting there was mine. I considered walking out right then and wish I would have. Server finally approached me. It was my order. We only get breakfast. It's hard to screw up eggs. Food was cold and nasty. Next time I went down the street to Lefty's. Had great service, food was hot and fresh. No need to ever go to Walt's again. Thanks Lefty's you have my business.

We had the Southern omelette and it was tasty and big portion! This restaurant is a known hidden gem by the locals. Every time we go the service is as impeccable as the food!

I drove over an hour to try the cheeseburger festival winner and after eating TWO it was clear I'd drive 3 hours to have it again! The first one I got I had them double the patties up because I'm a burger guy and why not. After finishing that one I knew I had to have another though I figured I better try it in it's original form. Spectacular! I also tried the minestrone as well as the mushroom & swiss burger both of which were delicious.
The service was fast, friendly and courteous. The prices were reasonable and the location was darn good too.
If you're going to Caseville or just driving through you should stop at Walt's!

I recently visited Walt’s Restaurant in Caseville, MI, and while the food was decent, the pricing is absurd. They seem to nickel-and-dime you for everything. I ordered a breakfast croissant, which was $7.00 for just the croissant and a piece of cheese. Then, they tacked on another $0.25 just to add an egg. I also ordered a bagel for $3.25, and they charged an additional $0.60 just for cream cheese. On top of that, they charge for drink refills and add a 3% fee if you pay with a credit card.

Now, I realize these prices aren’t going to break the bank, but the constant little upcharges make the experience feel overpriced and frustrating. It’s the principle of the thing that makes me think twice about coming back. While the food is okay, the extra fees will definitely make me look elsewhere in the future.

Small town diner with friendly service. Homemade sausage gravy was made with Italian sausage and had a little bit of weird flavor

Great breakfast, delivered quickly by hospitable staff. We split the large breakfast and still had leftovers. Love the beach/water decor. Off season visit so we didn’t have to wait for a table. Had seen so many good reviews for this restaurant and they did not disappoint!

We came from out of town. Ate there every day. Everything was great! The last day the house unexpectedly paid for someone's meal cause it was thier anniversary which was so kind and thoughtful!
