This was so disappointing! We drove from Harbor Springs for a date night and loved the look of the hotel and the rooftop. Really wonderful views and vibes - sadly that’s where the good stuff stopped. Nobody’s greeted us so after waiting a few minutes, we seated ourselves. Then we waited a good 30 minutes at the table and nobody so much as said hello. Then my husband went down to the bar area to order - waited another 10 minutes and then came back to tell me he was done and wanted to go. There was a line 15 people deep, with only one bartender and one server. We left bummed and nobody even noticed we walked out. It’s too bad. Great looking spot with great views but not enough help.

Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately they can’t hit the mark. They attempt to play it off like they’re higher end and/or swanky. The “service” here in general is a joke, it’s extremely evident the staff does not take their jobs seriously and are extremely bothered by the minimal customers they have. Honestly I’d rather stay at a motel 8, at least the staff would bother to recognize me there.

Absolutely amazing hotel! The best of the best and the best of everything !

Tried to cancel reservations 3days out for my parents who planning on celebrating their 72nd anniversary. A medical issue was the reason we needed to cancel. They wouldn’t refund our money they would, however, let us push the date off… just left a bad taste in my mouth felt like I was dealing with a hotel chain…

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Was supposed to be one but, this place was so great and comfortable I didn’t want to leave. Great friendly staff. Clean. Also, dog friendly was a huge help. Definitely can’t wait to go back. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel!!!

We just spent New Years at Hotel Earl with our family and it was perfect. The staff is friendly, kind and so helpful. We definitely recommend!

We just spent our 50th anniversary at The Earl and we enjoyed it very much. Our room was really a suite, with plenty of amenities and room to spread out. We had requested an accessible room because my wife is disabled and the accessibility features and easy access to the room from handicapped parking spaces were first rate. The staff was friendly, and the facility was spotless. We look forward to staying at The Earl again in the future. 5 stars!!

Nice rooftop bar in downtown Charlevoix. The LO Bar looks like a great place to hang out. We had drinks and an appetizer at the HI Bar on the roof. It’s a huge rooftop bar. Drinks were good. Service was great. The view is incredible. We will definitely be back.

The views are great from the Hi Bar, and we had a great time until the bill came. $12 for a domestic draft is pure price gouging. All the reviews complaining about pricing are spot on - buyers beware! There's a reason Hotel Earl doesn't list the price on their menu - people would rightly walk out!

The best views in downtown Charlevoix! Absolutely loved the HI Bar and the LO Bar isn’t so bad either. Such a great place to chill and have some adult beverages as the sun sets. Staff was great! Hotel Earl just keeps getting better and better!
