Food was sub par. Whitefish cooked way too dry. Risotto was mush. Prime rib was embarrassingly thin slice and way too over cooked for medium. Very disappointing except for server who was very pleasant and attentive
Made reservations for outdoor seating for2 online and even called to confirm but when I got there, they said they had nothing available outside and it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Hostess didn't seem to really care nor show any concern.
We had a wonderful experience and meal at the Weathervane. We were seated outside on a beautiful evening; the food was delicious; the server was wonderful and we got to enjoys the boats and the bridge. Perfect evening!
Server forgot to bring the appetizer but after the dinner was served... we also forgot about the appetizer. Nice view of the water and downtown drawbridge.
We had such a wonderful dinner! My husband had the walleye and I had the white fish--both were beautifully done and quite delicious. The extra bonus was sitting by the window and watching all the boats and jet skis go through the channel to Lake Michigan. We can't wait to return.
Our 45 minute drive to The Weathervane always pays off. Their water side views provide the best view of boat traffic coming thru the channel into the lakes is a win every time we come too.
We always enjoy this place. Been coming for 38 years on this weekend. Happy Anniversary to us
The worst ripoff restaurant in Charlevoix! If you go here you will leave hungry, nauseated and outrageous bill. They ran out of prime rib at 7:30 PM but would not substitute because the chef said NO! Wrong food was brought to our table by an incompetent waitress. Miniature portions! Said no seating outside, but people without reservations were seated there after us. Total lies! Told them if was my wife's birthday and they had the audacity to offer to put 1 candle on a miniature dessert that we had to pay full price for. Need to fire the manager and get rid of the so called chef!!!!!
Disappointing experience, seems the quality of the service has deteriorated in the last year.
This used to be a Staffords restaurant but has changed owners. We had a very rude host tell us "they can't just move tables for costumers any time they want" but the nice manager quickly remedied the situation (we needed a table for 6 and they were going to put us separate tables without even discussing it with us). The food wasn't great, especially for the price. We ordered a bottle of wine but never got it. We are sad because we always go to this restaurant when we are in Charlevoix but will probably not go back again.

Wonderful restaurant in a wonderful town. Would highly recommend this restaurant and the outside setting right on the channel that opens into Lake Michigan.
pleasant atmosphere , reliably good but not great food, except for clam chowder (soups always great). Service good and view fantastic
Have been going to this restaurant for many years. Definitely have been noticing a steady decline. This year was very disappointing. The ever famous Planked Whitefish is not planked anymore. Portions get smaller every year. Prices are really high for the quality of food. The new management is really cutting corners. Will keep going to Terry's!
We had the local whitefish orderve plate which was excellent as well as clam chowder. Ceasar salad great, lobster roll excellent- great food in a great experience
Service was mediocre... food was good but not progressive in recipes... restaurant needs a re-do.
