Unfortunately, I’ll never know what their bagels taste like. I’ve always wanted to try this bagel place especially when Randazzo’s is out of my usual bagels. But every time I go, they are closed unexpectedly. One sign blamed their closure on staffing shortages, another time I visited the staff decided to close the place 10 minutes early so I’d highly recommend calling ahead before attempting to visit after 11:30 AM or noon. Or the business could update their hours of operation on days when they’re not gonna be open the full amount.

Everytime I come they are wiped out by 9 am, the bagels are delicious And the staff is nice, started driving all the way to 23 and vandyke just to have more of a selection.
This store on 16 @ Garfield is a complete joke. God forbid you don’t get there by 7:00 am. After that ALWAYS out of best seller cinnamon and raisin and other popular flavors. This happens ALL THE TIME. Why would you not make more of good selling flavors it’s not rocket science. Think of your customers that can’t get there that early. This has happened the last time for me I will not be back, and tell everyone I know not to go to Big Apple.
We used Big Apple for our kiddo's Senior Breakfast and we were so happy with them. The bagels were still warm when I picked them up.
Horrible Mothers Day morning experience
NO VARIETY of Bagels just an hour after they open.
Incredibly long line, only one person taking customers, 3 other workers in back chatting and on their phone, while clearly seeing the front person could use help
Asked for an 8 oz plain cream cheese and they tried to give me PHILADELPHIA brand?!?!
They said that they only serve their plain cream cheese in small individual containers,
Meanwhile there is a sign right on their front counter saying “8oz Plain cream cheese $4.99”
They weren’t serving MANY coffee drinks, as they had hand written signs everywhere saying pretty much everything they served other than bagels, was out of service.
Overall the most awful bagel/breakfast experience I have had in a long time. Clearly they were not prepared for a busy Mother’s Day.
We used to love BABs but this location on Garfield is always having some type of problem. They’re out of bagels or cream cheese or turkey or coffee. They’re always closing early or having staffing problems. Today we were told “sorry I can’t toast your bagel we close in an hour.” Everyone who works here is super nice but they’re unreliable like no other. They’re barely open for 5 hours a day. Where else do ya’ll go for fresh bagels in CTP? I don’t want to go all the way to Ferndale or Southfield for NY Bagel.
Love their breakfast bagel
Unable to write a review as the place is never open even during posted hours.
This place is never open. It closes at random times and sometimes never opens to begin with. When they are open the bagels are amazing, but they rarely are open. If you need bagels, don’t expect them to have any.

The hours are extremely inconsistent. One Sunday they’ll be open until noon, the next they are closing at 10. Never rely on the website for their hours of operation. Food is good (when you catch them open).

I had the craziest experience. I had asked for a hot chocolate and they said their machine was broken so I asked for a coffee instead. The person I was with also order a coffee. The lady gave us one cup and when we went to ask for another one that we PAID FOR. She freaked out and said “fine i’ll make the hot chocolate” and the proceeded to have us pay for it??? When I took a sip it tasted a little strange but it wasn’t worth fighting for so we left. After it had cooled down I realized it tasted nothing like hot chocolate. I took the lid off and smelt it and it was STRAIGHT CHEMICALS. I felt so horribly sick after. How could you serve that to someone. How could you give someone chemicals in a cup???
How does the toaster oven not work?? Bagel place with lazy employees.
I’m a long time customer but this place has gone downhill. Weird hours, often deviates from posted hours; lack of product; faulty equipment like no oven or pop machine down; once friendly staff has become complacent & withdrawn. I’m done with this place, hopefully it dies quickly so people no longer have to waste their time ?
