Dinner was amazing, but the drink prices were outrageous! I ordered a glass of Chardonnay expecting just a house wine. On our bill we saw 22.00 for a glass, up charge on cocktails as well! I think the waitress did it on purpose looking for a large tip, which we did not tip on the drinks like that. We love this place, but this kinda turned us off. We have been going for over twenty years!
We had outstanding customer service and the food was excellent. Me & 2 gf's went last week Wed night Oct 16th. My first time there excellent!!!

My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and decided to give J Baldwin’s a try after numerous recommendations. And we are so glad that we did! It was the most pleasant dining experience we’ve had in a long time. The food was delicious! The staff were friendly, our server was a sweetheart and was very attentive to us. The owner J Baldwin even came over and introduced himself and thanked us for choosing his restaurant. He also brought us each a glass of champagne and wished us a happy anniversary. There were quite a few couples there celebrating anniversaries and I see why. The place is a true gem. We will certainly be back!
Thank you J Baldwin and your team for making our Anniversary dinner a memorable one!

After having had several disappointing restaurant experiences recently, I was treated to a lovely meal at J Baldwin this past weekend. We had a 2pm reservation, so it wasn't busy. We started with drinks at the bar, a delicious bloody mary with hand-stuffed blue cheese olive and an Aperol Spritz. Then moved to our table where we had excellent service. We had several starters. I highly recommend the waygu meatballs and mini crab cakes. The bread was served with a lovely, buttery pesto sauce. My husband and I split a warm goat cheese and roast beet salad. They split it for us without asking, It was huge, plenty for 2. Then, we tried the special fried perch. Delightful! Perfectly pan fried, light and tender, served with a citrus caper butter sauce. Also split for us without asking. Some restaurants frown on this but its a great way for us to try more. My brother ordered a gin drink made with their house made gin. He said it was great. We ended our meal with the creme brulee, which was served with a berry sauce spelling out Happy Birthday to our guest. With the generous portions, we were able to share many dishes and try many items. Considering all this, our bill was very reasonable. Can't wait to go back!

Food was good overall. I didn't care for the steak sauce and the Polish dish they have on the side menu is definitely not even close to traditional Polish food.
Be ready to scream at each other because the music is loud. Live band is a nice touch but should be much lower level.

Great family and restaurant! The entire staff is wonderful & the service is excellent. We had Izzy tonight- she was friendly, made good recommendations and was sure that we had everything we needed at all times. I forget his name, but the bald bartender there is pretty cool and good at what he does. I also had a nice chat with the head bus boy, Brian. He was really knowledgeable about his wine. 5 Stars all around ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calamari, Blackend Swordfish, Beet and Goat cheese salad were all excellent and there is so many great dishes to choose from. Overall, 10/10 and would recommend for a nice family night, dinner with friends or a date night out. The ambience is perfect, definitely a vibe. Lastly, the cocktails and wine list are ??

I cannot believe HOW expensive this place is. I ordered one glass of wine and they tried to charge me $18.00. How dare they? They didn’t mention happy hour was over, they just poured me an expensive glass of pinot Grigio. I would have bought an entire bottle for much less and they know that. They did take $4.00 off my glass of wine. How generous of them after they selected an expensive glass for me. NEVER again will I set foot in that place. Their food is good, but in my opinion grossly overpriced. I’m insulted and disgusted all at the same time. Shame on them for just pouring me a glass of $18.00 wine.

We come here all the time as we live right around the block. We always have great service here but tonight we dined with Christie and she was exceptional. She was so attentive and had such a warm presence. 10/10 for service and food. We will be back per the usual!
