Food was amazing, our server was very friendly and attentive. Very comfortable atmosphere, especially because it was open for lunch.

June 28, 2025 I decided to try J Baldwins for the first time after a couple of positive feedback from friends. Reserved a table for 12 for a surprise birthday dinner for my boyfriend. All family that joined was there first time there as well. I have to say everyone enjoyed there meal including the children. I can’t say this enough is that rice served with the Crab Cakes Dinner was the best tasting rice I’ve ever had, my sister also agreed and asked if she can order more to add with her doggie bag to take home, my boyfriend and brother in law had there Duck, let’s just say both cleaned it to the bone they enjoyed it so much. Crab Cakes were pretty good also. Waitress was so professional and did her job well. Only negative I had was I’m not a drinker and asked if they make anything like a blue Hawaiian with rum? She indicated she’s certain the bartender can make it. Drink was horrible, tasted like rotten spoiled fruit, of course I sent it back and requested a Diet Coke. Waitress was good sport and apologized and that was ok. Management even stopped to our table to greet us thanking us for choosing their restaurant to host this dinner and did asked our feedback on the food. You don’t get that much at all. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to dine and a awesome atmosphere good food restaurant. I only gave four stars only due to when requested for certain items left out/off the food still came with it, something small nothing to stay away for. Were planning on returning very soon

A friend and I went on a Saturday evening. I had chicken Milanese, and it was delicious. My dessert, creme brulee, was good, but I would skip dessert next time. My friend had bread pudding, which was dry and not great. The waitress offered to replace it, and removed it from the bill. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, food was good, and I would definitely recommend it. My total portion of the bill, with wine, appetizer, dinner, and dessert, with tip, was about $80.

I called in a to go order with Peyton ( spelling) she was so nice and helpful. When I went to pick up my order, she was also very pleasant, which was a nice experience.

There, sweet potato fries are awesome and the honey mustard pairs perfectly with it. I asked him Dad coated cheese and it was awesome.

I also got the boom boom shrimp. When I’ve dined in and had this before the was much better. So I Don’t know if some of that was because it was to go And therefore, the cabbage and other fresh veggies that go with it would’ve been a better condition. But they were soggy and pretty much on edible. And that’s part of the reason why I like the boom boom strip is I love that mixture of coleslaw and the specific tomato that normally gets described and comes with it the little cute raindrop tomatoes. This time they didn’t have any of those even though it’s described on the menu. They gave me diced tomatoes, which I was disappointed about. The shrimp was still good. But next time, perhaps I’ll ask for the cold to be separate from the warm shrimp If I’m getting it to go.

Great service, nice ambiance, great date night restaurant, has outside seating that is screened in, in a strip mall, great food, somewhat pricey, they take allergies very serious

J. Baldwin’s is hands down our favorite restaurant in the area. Their menu is always changing and the food is always exceptional. I recently had my 40th birthday here with girlfriends. I felt like a celebrity! They had the table set with a rose and a sign when we got there. The manager AND owner each stopped by to wish me a happy birthday. We love J. Baldwin’s 🥂.

Dinner was amazing, but the drink prices were outrageous! I ordered a glass of Chardonnay expecting just a house wine. On our bill we saw 22.00 for a glass, up charge on cocktails as well! I think the waitress did it on purpose looking for a large tip, which we did not tip on the drinks like that. We love this place, but this kinda turned us off. We have been going for over twenty years!

My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and decided to give J Baldwin’s a try after numerous recommendations. And we are so glad that we did! It was the most pleasant dining experience we’ve had in a long time. The food was delicious! The staff were friendly, our server was a sweetheart and was very attentive to us. The owner J Baldwin even came over and introduced himself and thanked us for choosing his restaurant. He also brought us each a glass of champagne and wished us a happy anniversary. There were quite a few couples there celebrating anniversaries and I see why. The place is a true gem. We will certainly be back!
Thank you J Baldwin and your team for making our Anniversary dinner a memorable one!

After having had several disappointing restaurant experiences recently, I was treated to a lovely meal at J Baldwin this past weekend. We had a 2pm reservation, so it wasn't busy. We started with drinks at the bar, a delicious bloody mary with hand-stuffed blue cheese olive and an Aperol Spritz. Then moved to our table where we had excellent service. We had several starters. I highly recommend the waygu meatballs and mini crab cakes. The bread was served with a lovely, buttery pesto sauce. My husband and I split a warm goat cheese and roast beet salad. They split it for us without asking, It was huge, plenty for 2. Then, we tried the special fried perch. Delightful! Perfectly pan fried, light and tender, served with a citrus caper butter sauce. Also split for us without asking. Some restaurants frown on this but its a great way for us to try more. My brother ordered a gin drink made with their house made gin. He said it was great. We ended our meal with the creme brulee, which was served with a berry sauce spelling out Happy Birthday to our guest. With the generous portions, we were able to share many dishes and try many items. Considering all this, our bill was very reasonable. Can't wait to go back!
