We arrived in Detroit for a wedding and needed to find a place for lunch. We took a chance at looking for a Deli, and we were not disappointed. My husband had the soup and half a sandwich special, and I went for a plain pastrami and corned beef on fresh rye bread. When we sat down they brought us a little bowl of pickles to snack on too. The soup was rather tasty, and it looked like it had fresh homemade noodles. The sandwich was delicious. The corned beef was more salty than the pastrami, and the pastrami did have more fat on it though. It was very good and I would go back. I wish we had a little place like this where we live currently.

I recently ordered takeout from New York Deli in St. Clair Shores, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful on the phone, making the ordering process quick and easy. When I picked up my food, the staff was just as welcoming and had my order ready right on time. And the best part? The food was amazing! The pastrami brisket was absolutely delicious—perfectly tender and full of flavor. Even after the short drive home, the sandwich was still warm and held up beautifully. It's clear they put a lot of care into their food and customer service. I highly recommend New York Deli for a delicious takeout meal!

This places is right around the corner from where I stay great place for me to walk, sit, and enjoy some comfort food. It’s a small restaurant booth and table.chair sitting. If it gets busy could be a tight fit. I enjoyed and definitely go back. Love sandwiches and anything related to.

Oh Boy is my stomach pleased!! Never have I been as hungry as I was after landing in Detroit. But fear no more! New York Deli to the rescue! The vast menu had me anxious with excitement while ordering. The breakfast burger was calling my name! Here’s my brother about to absolutely disrespect his Philly cheese respectfully 🔥

This place has great portions. Friendly staff that was attentive. Amazing tasting strawberry cheesecake and carrot cake was great. Chicken noodle soup was fantastic. Wing Dings were great and huge. Chicken salad was great. Pickles were also served and they were great. Can’t wait to come back again.
