Clam Chowder is not the same as when they won the award. It use to be be great but not anymore. Crispy chicken Cobb salad was great.

Super friendly servers, knowledgeable bar tender and good food. I chose to eat here after reading all of the rave reviews of their burgers but I also had a hankering for wings so I got both. The burger was pretty good, but cooked more well done than the medium rare that I requested. It could have used a little salt and pepper. Other than that, it was a good bar burger. The wings really shined bright! They are the best that I've had in northern Michigan and I will come back just for those. The cheese curd appetizer was also very good and plentiful. Over all I'll be back again!!

I like to support local businesses and I wish I could give this place a 5-star.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this bar/restaurant nor will I ever go backThe food was okay, but a Reuben should NOT be served on a hard hoagie bun. Reubens are on rye bread. I had to cut off the top of the top bun in order to eat it. Once I did that, the sandwich was good. My friend had a BLT and she said it was good. Onion rings were tasteless and greasy. Thankfully, I had requested some chipotle ranch dressing which we used as a dipping sauce - then the onion rings were more edible. Twenty-three dollars for that meal and 18% tip.Our waitress was great. She greeted us when we got there (she was also tending bar), brought menus and water, came back timely and took our orders. The food arrived quickly and was warm.So, the service and food were okay. It's the atmosphere - it's grungy and just feels dirty in there. Our table top was sticky even though the waitress said she'd just cleaned it. My friend said her feet were sticking to the floor as she walked.It just felt and looked dirty in there and I don't want my food prepared someplace like that.If you want to go out, have a beer, grab something to eat and you're not overly worried about cleanliness - you'd probably enjoy it. There did seem to be quite a few locals in there while we were there (from about 12:30pm to 1:30pm).I was at the bar about 8 years ago and it was a lot cleaner. Not now. I can't recommend this place.

Just moved back in area. Been checking restaurants near by. Great burger and service. We will be back.
They were nice and had very good service there was only one person and she coverd everything. This written by my 10 year old. He is correct, the waitress and cook made an excellent team between food and service. Everything we ordered was excellent and good portions, everyone left full. Kids are begging to go back.

We love a good dive bar and this place did not disappoint! We had just arrived in the area in our rv, dropped it at Mill River Campground, and were starving. When we first pulled up, we weren't even sure the place was open. But we opened the door and were greeted warmly by the bartender/waitress. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and my husband ordered a hamburger. We were positioned at the bar where we could see the cook prepare the meal and it was delicious! Other folks in the bar were very friendly and obviously regulars. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

It's not much to look at when you first pull in but it's rustic inside and clean. Taco Tuesday was very good and $2 beers on tap. The burgers are good. Service is very good. If you want to eat outside on the patio, you have to go in, order and it's self service. We will go back
