11/15/2024 remarkable food for northern Michigan. Everyone at my table very pleased with their food. I ordered the salmon Veracruz: excellent balance of flavors enhanced and did not overpower the salmon. And the "tater tot" side transcended any tots you'll find in the freezer case. Good service, a comfortable room, not crowded for a Friday evening, a couple minutes' walk to the Opera House. You get a sense that great care is taken at this place.

Nice place with excellent food. The homemade pasty was expensive ($18) at first glance but was huge and came with a traverse city cherry salad. Excellent flaky crust and filled with diced (not ground) beef, root vegetables, and green peas and what appeared to be a homemade gravy. Northern Michigan is known for pasties and this one was definitely an excellent one. Fruit in the water was a nice touch.

My wife and I stopped in about 3:00 pm on the 25th of October. We were quickly seated but then completely ignored for the next 10 minutes. One waitress never made eye contact or asked us any questions despite having walked past us at least ten times . The other waitress was in the back picking up and then when to another table that came in after us. She spent most of that time casually chatting with them. While the pies looked delicious we'll never know how they tasted as we left after never getting waited on. We mentioned to the one waitress on the way out that we were leaving since we could not get service. Her response was "have a nice day". I see from other comments that customer service has not always been their strong point. We hope that this review leads to some improvement.

Stopped in here for a quick bite. The place was not too busy with several open tables. After being seated, we waited for about 15 minutes before anyone approached us. I wish I were kidding but the 1st words out of our server’s mouth was “You ready?” Ready for what? Ready to leave? Yes yes we are. We had to ask for water and then waited another 20 minutes or so for our food. Server seemed very annoyed when we asked for napkins, ketchup and the fries that we ordered but were forgotten.
The food was decent but the service was horrible.
We won’t be back.

I had the Fiesta Tots. OMG! Homemade bacon and jalepeno tots by themselves would be divine, but covered in pork canitas, cheese, pico and lime creama, delicious!! Only (really minor) suggestion is a bit more of the creama!!! (the service was great, I'm sure if I'd asked they'd have brought me some.) I then saw the pies. They make pies like I used to - FULL of fruit! I got the 4 berry to go and enjoyed it for breakfast the next day. Heaven in every bite!! I'm only 15 minutes away for another week, I will be back!

I had a terrible experience here. The food was solid but waited 15 min without being greeted, the waitress made sexist jokes to my face, never got any drink orders, and what was meant to be a quick lunch turned into a 2 hr nightmare of a waiting game.

We came in around 630p on Saturday August 10th. I had the sweet potato tacos. It was delicious. The sweet potato paired with the sauce was perfection. I loved the creativity of this entree. Great job!
